How do you handle going to a car wash where the employees clean the inside then hook the car up to the machine where it is pulled through the car wash? Is it ok to do this?

I've never had a problem, but Prii are very common here.

People use those around here all the time. I won't because I don't want their brushes and stuff touching my paint. As noted, they just pop it in neutral and it is pulled through.

Avoid this by washing your car at home :D

The brush problem is easily solved, only go to a brushless wash. The "stuff" part isn't as simple because you are depending on the lowly paid labor to do their job right and management to supply the lowly paid labor with the proper stuff, but I have found a local brushless car wash where they use soft clean cloths as stuff to finish off the car.

Be careful with going to the touchless car wash. They use some pretty harsh chemicals to wash the car, which will strip the wax right off of your car.

Yeah, the place around here who cares about how they wash the car wants enough that I could buy supplies to wash my car a year myself. I just prefer doing it myself since I enjoy detailing and it gets me alone time away from hearing the wife. When you want something done right...

The year old Zano on my black Corvette that has been to the touchless car wash about 6 times in the past year still looks good. I personally wouldn't waste my time putting wax on a car with so many good synthetics out there.

Are there still places that use 'brushes'?? All I ever see is clothe machines, they've gotten rid of the brushes long ago. I run mine through a couple times a month. No problems. I won't wash it at home...water rates are crazy high where I live.
