After having just completed a 630 mile tank with my 17's I am trying a tank without going thru too much effort for hypermiling purity. o_O I am 150 miles into the tank with 53.5 mpg on the MFD (yes, I know it's off). I've used more power mode as well. I do pay attention to trying to keep the ICE (when on) into the most efficient section of the power bar, and still do the anticipative slow-down braking. So far I have been having more of a blast zipping around and the estimated economy is much better than I expected.:)

Not quite "drive it like you stole it" because I was passed by another Gen III on the way to work today. :p

I find there is a happy medium between all out hypermiling and drive it like you stole it. :) You can get great fuel economy by simply driving like a good little citizen. LOL

Is my 46 mpg average because I don't have enough miles on it yet? Many people are averaging well over 50 mpg with 17's yet I can only do that if I stay in town or run 55 mpg two lane roads around here.

Your car and tires are not really broken in yet, Mike. Plus you would have to slow down to get better fuel economy. :p

Ouch, under 55 mph on two lane roads?
