I can't speak for FT, but I have seen LED installations in other cars that auto-dim. It's even stock in some cars... I rented a Ford Fusion last year for a road trip and it had auto-dim and color change, in the foot wells and the cupholders!

Honestly, I bought a set of Xentec 5000K HID for $32.00 off of eBay and modded them to eliminate the ground shadow effect. It's not rocket science after extensively reviewing the Xenon Supply install vid on YouTube and reviewing the actual Xentec H11 bulbs I received. After comparing the bulbs long enough, it should come as an "oh sh!t" epiphany.

That's not it, look for seller "xenonmarket" or

Slim Digital HID Xenon Conversion Kit 9006 6000K Ultra Light Bright Low Beam ALL | eBay

PS - JDM headlights or incorrect cutoffs from "illegal" HID kits that everyone ('cept for a select few hardcore retrofitters/modders) on this board has don't bother me. In fact, they are a non-event to me. Idiots driving with high beams on at night, but especially during BROAD f'kin' DAYLIGHT, because they thing they're JDM-kRAD-K00L, bothers me. (you'll know these type if they light up their HID low beams AND yellow high beams on; typical of RSX/Integra JDM ricers).

Does Fuzion Teknique offer the kit in 5k temp or just 4300 & 6k like Xenon Supply?

The 6k looks a little too blue for my preference. I am concerned that the 4300 won't be white enough for me. My goal is to achieve as white as possible without getting the attention of the fuzz when passing in the opposite direction, flipping a b**ch and then citing me for my valenti SB and tint.

Pics of 4300k HID from Xenon supply or Fuzion would be greatly appreciated ;)

Thanks for the tip, I'm going to give them a call to see if I can come by this week. I read in one of the xenon supply threads that someone noticed a high pitch buzzing from their ballasts...has anyone else noticed this?

Do you guys know which "kit" you got? I've been chatting with alex and got a quote of $60 and $120 depending on the kit. He says the $60 is "more of a blotchy look compared to the $120 which is a more flat line straight away beam"

Thanks, I guess their prices have gone up a bit. I think i'll still go there since they have the 5000k and xenon supply does not.

The 60.00 one is fine I think it'll be just under 100 with install :)

do you know what the difference is? I've never really gotten into modding a car before so i'm not quite sure what "blotchy" means in terms of the beam. I just don't want to be blinding everyone/getting into trouble with cops.

This may be a dumb question, but is this a good alternative for someone like me who has the OEM halogens on a 2010 Prius IV? My previous car had xenon headlights and I appreciated the improvement in nighttime driving due to the brighter headlights.

I was looking at bulb replacements for the Prius, but the threads that I've found seem to indicate issues w/ the life of those replacement bulbs (e.g., PIAA, Philips Vision, etc.). Would this retrofit kit essentially address my need for brighter nighttime lights w/ good lifespan of the bulbs and ballast?

Anything about this kit that should be of concern to me? $120 doesn't seem like an unreasonable amount.

I didn't post this initially because Alex was a nice guy and very patient with me. However, I had some issues with the lights he installed in my car. Keep in mind that a bunch of so cal prius owners have gone to him without any issues so it seems like mine is an isolated incident.

I went to fusion mainly because I am impatient. Alex is somewhat local (35min) from me and had the lights in stock. I would rather drive to him than wait several days for a kit from xenon supply. The slightly lower price was a nice little perk also. Not that I would have an issue installing one of these kits but if someone will do it for me for a lower price then why not.

I went on a monday to get the lights installed. Took about 1 hr and everything seemed great. (bring cash and you wont need to pay tax) When I got home, I parked in the garage and turned the lights on. I ran into 3 problems. 1. driver side light had very heavy flickering. 2. passenger side had light flickering. I tried taking a video but it wouldn't even pick it up. 3. the color temp on the passenger side was significantly warmer than the right side. (i got the 5000k kit)

I brought my car back the next day and alex tried working on the issue with me. He went through a total of 4 ballasts and 6 bulbs but we ran into issues no matter the combination we used...mainly flickering and uneven color temps on the bulbs. We agreed that I would come back the following evening so we could get a better idea on the color temp of the lights.

When I got home, I started looking up other hid kits online. Specifically I was looking at the cheap ebay kits that sell for ~$30. The one thing I noticed was that the ballasts that were installed on my car were black ...they looked very similar to the cheap ebay kits but with no large branding. The ballasts the OP got in his car are silver similar to the more expensive xenon supply kit. Take this for what it's worth. I am no expert at all on these headlights. I only know what I have read on these forums and from quick google searches.

I returned the following morning and had the lights uninstalled and got a full refund. I have since installed a pair of Phillips CrystalVision halogen bulbs but plan on getting 4300k HIDs from xenon supply. I'm trying to wait until black friday since last year they had a 25% off deal. Alex was professional, polite and friendly throughout the entire ordeal but it just didn't work out.
