I have a whole lot of pictures of my body kit installed showing details that may be of some use. It'll take me a long moment to get all of them off my phone and uploaded.

Thanks bro. When I look there my install looks pretty clean. I'm gonna go ahead with my rear end drilling now then since I'm confident enough its not major. I'll check for your pic too.

I have about 20 pictures uploading right now to here Index of /Prius/Plus-Body-Kit-Install
It will take a while as my cable connection is tapped at 1m upload speed and each pic is 2-3m :( Good news is they should be nice & clear and big so you can zoom in and see stuff :)

How u coming along? As Mike mentioned, that piece is for the rear. It replaces the OEM 1's that are taken off.

Good looking out man. I'm all done and those two pieces are still not on my car. I'm gonna study your pics some more tomorrow and see if I can figure it out. Solid documentation man. Thanks for your help. I'm probably too tired right now and my brain is fried but I can't see clearly where those pieces go. I'll look at it tomorrow evening again. Peace.

I didn't take off anything like that from my car. So whatever those are, the OEM ones are still on there. Hmmmm...I will take another look tomorrow and see if I can figure it out. Chances are though there's no way I'm taking that rear kit back off because those things are a total bitch to hook on. So unless my car is gonna suffer somehow, those pieces are staying off unless they can be replaced without taking off the kit lol. Thanks a lot you guys. IT's been torture...lol...well worth it however. It looks and fits great. I'm proud of myself.(y)

Awesome news :) Those two black plastic pieces would connect to the rear of each side skirt right at the bottom front edge of the rear wheel well opening. Get some sleep and take a look at it tomorrow evening. I can email you a sick day note if you want to call in sick today :)

HAHAHAHA...are you an MD? Is it obvious what the purpose of those pieces is? Cause my side skirt seems quite well attached at the rear end/ anterior rear wheel well. Hmmmm

Oh and also, did you take similar little pieces like that off your car as OEM pieces? I really don't recall that.

Nah, I'm retired :) Sean will have to tell us what that piece actually does. I ordered my car with all the goodies already installed :) It is fun helping what I can help with and following along on your project. I think that is freakin cool how a person started out with what appeared as no experience on car accessory installation and works their way thru a very involved project successfully. The mod bug has gotten to you [IMG] Welcome to the dark side of automobile ownership [IMG]

Congrats to u..........now hopefully ur sleeping so when u read this in the am, take a look at the vid that was posted. Notice the Blk pieces that he 1st takes off......u should have done the same thing. Those new pieces help tie in the plus kit side pieces to the panels under the car. They also help with the aerodynamics.

I was thinkin of heading to the local Toyota dealer later today to see the difference of that part comparing my car to a regular Liftback on the lot. That is, if it doesn't rain today :(

So after all said and done how long did this install take you, and now that you know, how fast could you do it if you had to do it again?

Same question for you too Sean..

It took me about 2 1/2hrs in total for the install. Of course it took me a lil longer cause I had family duties as well. If I had to do it again prob 1 1/2 hrs.

    Link if possible.

Took me around 6 hours. But I stopped nearly an hour to eat and like 1/2 hour to wait to try to figure out what those pieces were for. So I'd say 4 to 4.5 hours. If I had to do it again I could probably do it in 2.5 hours or so. Maybe less.

I have to say those side skirts fit damn well and look damn clean to be missing a part. I will have a look and go back at them to replace the pieces so long as I figure it out. Not tonight though. Too tired first day back from work after 3 weeks away. I had watched that video like 10 times. Pretty sad I didn't notice those parts. I love the way the car looks now but I'm glad I ordered the sway bar and springs to complete the package. Those I won't be installing myself
