I am looking for some place to get a nonglare screen protector. I have seen them for other previous models but not for the Prius v three model. As an aside, why in the world Toyota did not make the screen to be less reflective? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

The navigation screen is almost unreadable during the day. I called Toyota, and they claimed that no one else had complained. I doubt that, since the customer service person knew that not wearing sunglasses made it easier to see the screen. In any event, I suggest that others who hate the glare register a complaint with Toyota. In the meantime, I use a piece of cardboard anchored in my CD slot to keep the sun off of the screen.

tell me more about the Garmin system you added--i hate the limits of the NAV system--I often end up using my phone. As per glare, I live in bright sunny CA --what worked best for your Prius V 5?

LOL-good idea. Maybe Toyota engineers are listening (or at least I hope).

I live in Texas where the sun is extremely strong in the summer and sometimes in the winter. But I have no problem reading the screen, probably because I use the max legal tint on the side and rear windows. Occasionally, I may take off the sunglasses to read detail on the nav, but that's more of an issue of bad text style when set for North up screens which I prefer. Actually the "3D" nav screen types have better text boxes.
