OUCH! Thank god you are alright! Is the guy insured?

Side note: I'm finishing up my Clazzio cover install today. Started yesterday with both front and half of the rear bench. Light grey really matches the bisque interior.

Dear god. The 80s called and they do NOT want the song back.
Holy crap dude. Sorry for what happened. And I know you've gotten enough of this but I'll say it again, at least you (and everyone else?) came out of that in one piece. But it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

Today I went ahead with the remainder of my Plus Package install. Including Springs and rear sway bar. Then had about 25 miles of mostly highway driving to get a feel for it. Went over some speed bumps close to home also, and dealt with some dips/ road cracks//bridges/ bumps that I'm quite accustomed to on my commute. I'm very happy with the ride. I must say. Toyota/TRD did a really good job with keeping the spring rate conservative enough to preserve the quality of the ride. Also did not notice any bothersome bouncing to the rear over speedbumps. But then I also take speedbumps slower than the average person. I can see how with work shocks, however, of course that could change on more aggressive coils. The car turns very flat now. I feel like body roll is almost totally gone. Really does feel like a totally different car. But still smooth and comfortable and very refined over bumps.

Nah I didn't. Had the guys who did the springs do it for me. They charged 300 for everything. not bad since one Charlotte area dealership (where I bought the car) quoted 785 and the other quoted 650 + 99 bucks for the sway bar install.

I took off my PLUS springs and put my car back to stock. Technically, I did it last Sunday though.

Does anyone want to buy them? :D

I started experiencing a wiggle/shudder from the rear during highway driving. The vibration was also very noticeable during braking, similar to "warped" rear rotors.

Rebalancing the tires helped a bit, but it was still there. The only conclusion I could come to was that the springs had worn down a bit, and were now bouncier than they used to be.

After reinstalling the stock springs, the issue has gone away completely. I had the PLUS springs on there for a little over 15,000 miles.

is it a defect for the springs ? or do you think it's just worn out ?

aren't the springs suppose to last for a very long time ?
