Hi guys, for those in Hawaii, I just wanted to see if anyone has been able to buy a Prius locally from Servco below MSRP. I am thinking no, but I just wanted to make sure. My family is going to buy one soon and we want to make sure we are getting a good deal. Thanks in advance.

Good luck with that one! I got mine for $500 less than the sticker price. Which location are you dealing with?

My parents live in Hawaii and they are going to wait to buy there Prius. Its a bit pricey compared to the steal I got on my car in North Cal. Have you thought of buying the car outside of the State of Hawaii and shipping it back home?

Servco Mapunapuna. Where did you go and who did you deal with? And when?

blkpriusgrl, I was thinking of getting one from the mainland but finding someone to drive it to the port and everything was just too much of a hassle. Plus with 1000 shipping, the savings without all the headache was around 1500 only I think.

I bought mine in January of 2011 it is a model year 2011, from Servco Auto Leeward. My salesperson there is Luisito Mina. I can put you into contact with him if you want. I test drove a Prius at Servo Auto Honolulu sometime in 2010 before I was in the market for a new car the salesman that went along was Miles Nakatani. Miles is cool and he is also a Prius owner we went on like a 15 mile test drive, the dealership kept calling him to see where we were. We went from SAH to Kapahulu on the surface streets and then back on the H-1. Servco really does not deal on Priuses especially if fuel prices are high and because they are the only Toyota dealer in the state. Hope that helps if I can answer any more questions let me know.

Dustoff if you can give me the contact info that would be great, I would like to check if he can give me the same deal.

Blkpriusgrl, wow that is a great deal. If I had a close family member who could do the shopping for me I would really think about it. Are you thinking of doing it for your parents?

Ron Spain at Servco Mapunapuna is great. Purchased both vehicles in my signature below from him. Got our 2011 Prius 3 for $500 off MSRP because it was one of the last 2011 Prii on the lot, everything else were 2012s.

Ron gave us a free front sun shade for the Prius because we were repeat customers with him. Those custom fit sunshades aren't cheap.

What member of the Prius family are you considering, c, v, PiP, or the standard gen. III Prius?

How late in the year did you buy the 2011? So I guess the key is to wait until the 2013s come on the lot and hope they start being motivated to move the 2012s at that point? I did just receive a call from the guy I am working with and he said that all of a sudden they are releasing 2012 Prius One trims for sale, only three though. I am intrigued, it looks like the only thing missing is cruise control and the "trace touch" from the Prius Two, two things I don't really need.

dustoff, thanks for the information I contacted Louie, he is supposed to get back to me, hopefully he will give me some good news soon. We are just looking at the Gen3, I was leaning towards the V but my dad did not like the handle and loss in mileage versus room tradeoff. I must admit the V felt like it had no acceleration ability while it was in eco mode.

We got our 2011 Prius 3 in April 2012. There were 2 left at Servco Honolulu at the time.
