Just wanted to drop in and say hi. My 2003 Prius just wound up at the dealership with repairs that were too expensive to be worth it (nothing related to the hybrid system at all, you'll be glad to know, mostly radiator issues), so I just upgraded to a base winter grey PIP. Unsurprisingly, I'm loving it so far, and I'm also really enjoying reading through all the threads here.
    Thanks everyone,
    Ben

Kind of curious. How much we're your repairs and how much millage did you have? What did they offer you on the trade? Congrats!

Just the upgrade in seats is worth it.

Thanks everyone! Imam indeed loving the car so far.
benalexe - They were going to need $3300 to do the first several repairs, then probably would have needed more after that. (I know for sure that that's the case now...wasn't sure then). Considering it had ~170k, I decided it probably wasn't worth it. I'm looking forward to someone driving it around again someday.

priuskitty - Hello! Any idea how many of us there are? I know my PIP was purchased in New York by the dealer. Alas, I missed the Plug In Day (I teach pretty much all day on Sundays). I was really happy to see that it was happening though.

nickfromny - heh...true. I loved my 2003 to pieces, but this is a way more comfortable car.

I know Suburban Toyota in Troy had 8 plug in's they have two left. Page Toyota still has about a dozen of em left. And Hutchenson? in Ann Arbor had a couple. And Dianne Whitmire in California (carson) told me of one in Farmington Mi.
