I should have done that before my dog missed a jump and scratched the top of the bumper. :(

There is a large plastic splash guard underneath the front end and 2 smaller access ones on either side. Just pull those down and your good to go.

hey Sean, I got a quick question for you. My Prius comes factory with DRL.

If I were to use the L shape LED's to replace the current DRL's, do I just unplug the DRL bulbs and wire the L shape led's to the DRL wires ?

or is there another alternative ?

    thanks !

I forgot you were in Canada so you already have it setup for drl..so yeah that should work!

so there's no need to connect it via the fuse box ?

is the wire long enough to reach the drl headlights ?

    thanks

You never have to hook it up to the fuse box....just to the drl lights you have now and they will work as they are supposed to. I hooked them up to the fuse box just to take some pictures of them on before i wired them in. You are lucky you have a dedicated DRL to connect to so no module needed.

I installed some new full-LED tail lights. I really like them.

Hey, it's uses the same bulb for low beam and high beam, however, I noticed that after the installation of my Drone mobile, they might have disconnected the drl lights. but my high beam still works.

Am I able to plug the L shape DRL's to another source ? or it can only connect to that slot if I want DRL ?

    thanks !!

Then no.....ud have to find another power source. The way ur DRLs work is the low beam is supplied with either 1/2 or full power. If ur DRL is getting 1/2 the power then ur "L" shape DRL won't light up but on the other hand if it is getting ful power then the "L" DRL will be on all the time.

The only way it might work is if u tap into the DRL relay......& that would mean tearing into the fuse box

If you are looking for an effective upgrade, go with 9012 bulbs.

Susquehanna MotorSports - Auto Performance Products Catalog

    Compare to a 9005 bulb:

Hella 9005 Bulbs and HB3 Bulbs

You will have to trim the top tab to get it to fit the housing, but it puts out about 40% more light but it still draws 65 watts and has the same plug. I have been running them in my wife's Sienna and then swapped them into her Suburban. They are also referred to as HIR.
