6.5" JBL woofer (86160-AC280) specifications?

Speakers are a nice high efficiency, which leads me to suspect they are measured at 2.83V

Infinity is measured at 2.83V and is 93dB, not 95 on the infinity site. I happen to have a set of those tweeters (10.9t), so let me know if you fit them and how. If you need those tweeters separately I can have a look if they are still available here (they were on offer until stock is exhausted).

JBL is also measured at 2.83V and is indeed 94dB.

Infinity and JBL are both Harman companies, and the tweeters' mounting system looks identical.

I looked up the data because you could plug in the parameters into a speakerbuilding program to see if there would be a significant difference, but it's too much work and it would still be mainly guesswork (estimating the volume of the door, assume it is a closed enclosure, etc.).

I just happened to have bought a pair (20-25$ or so) to fiddle around with, but since my [intended] system has 70Wrms available for just the tweeter at 4 ohm, or even 125Wrms at 2 ohm, I don't exactly *need* a 2 ohm speaker
Still in their box, first plan is to fit the amps, then I'll see if I use these, the Rainbow tweeters or some 4 ohm Elac or 8ohm Dynaudio home tweeters in my car. Have plenty of options (hoarding will give you that option).

Beware I am in Holland, but if needed I could send you a set of those tweeters (they come with the simple cross-over on page 9, but since shipping may cost more than the tweeters, I doubt it is worth it unless I send you 4 pairs at once )
You probably don't *need* 2 ohm speakers either though... Tweeters often have a slightly higher efficiency, and need less power, so a 4 ohm or even 8 ohm tweeter might also do the trick.

 

I'm looking to upgrade my 2005 JBL woofers (86160-0W880). Are these interchangeable?

 

The 04-05 JBL woofers(86160-0W880 have a difference part number and look/cone material is different than the 06+ 86160-AC280. I'd like to use the new woofers in my 05 if they are plug-n-play(and rivet).
