A friend of mine has a Lexus SC400 and test drove a Prius today after I got mine. We'll see what he ends up with.

I used to own one of those Lexus SUVs, a 2001 LX470, until I traded it for the Ridgeline a couple months ago. Yes, it got 14 MPG and I only drove it occasionally - usually for hauling bulky items. It was also handy when my girlfriend and I would take my 4 local grandkids to movies.

 

I used to have a 1998 Landcruiser. Terrible on gas but it was a great vehicle.

 

Who could argue with a gun owning prius driver?

I too owned an 2001 LX470 for 4 years. This was the very first vehicle I purchased an aftermarket HID headlight kit for, which cost a whopping $700 then. I do miss the utility part of it, but much more on the clam-shell type rear door, which I often used as a bench Since then I also had an RX330 and a MDX, but no SUV now. I think my SUV days are over

 

I did the same thing - still do with the Ridgeline. It's convenient for holding a project or your backside when jawin' in the driveway.

 

Exactly one month after getting mine, my friend traded in his trusty 1997 BMW 5 series with 264k miles on it for a gray 2010 Prius V. He's loving it so far. I'll get him to join the forum.
