What did you do to ur Gen III Prius today????

It looks great, Sean! Everything is so smooth. I remember when I debadged my white 1987 Mustang GT. it felt so liberating. Ohh and I meant right mirror. I was looking at it from the picture perspective.

hey El Nino, did you encapsulate your whole dash with plasti dip ?

where did you get the steering wheel inserts for that silver part, or did you plasti dip that as well ?

posting a thread on the DRL's would help me as well, as I'm a noob when it comes to wires, but Sean is helping me out as well, he helped me order the module and will take pics to show me which wires I'll need to connect.

I just rre plasti dipped my DRL's and this time around they turned out perfect, I took my time ripping off the Led's

and was able to not leave any chrome showing. I will have to wait until it stops raining to encapsulate it with the glossifier though.

Been a lurker on the site for quite a while. Finally decided to sign up and show off what I did to my car. Guess this is a "What did I do to my Prius yesterday afternoon / this morning?!"

Blacked out my rear emblems:


Blacked out the front emblem too. I made the mistake of trying to clean the black plastic behind the emblem insert with some Carb Cleaner I had laying around from my Chevelle and made it turn white plastic lol. So, I went ahead and used one of my Carbon Fiber wraps to cover up my temporary lapse of judgement haha


I also did the front fender emblems... but the iPhone pics I took of them are totally FUBAR, haha

 

Installed the Apex-i Hybrid Megaphone axle-back exhaust. Nice low tone when the ICE kicks on, but isn't loud under throttle. Had to add a spacer to the rear hanger because it was resting against the PPP kit.

After I installed the exhaust, I set up my camera to record the sound and the damn ICE never turned on! I will try to get that up soon.

Wow! Your car looks really good. I have a Gen II and to me Gen III styling is so much better. Yours is in another league altogether.

I had a GenII as well but the GenIII eventually won me over. Particularly the 2012 refresh. I'm just trying to mod mine to look clean but as OE as possible.

The GenII can look really good with larger wheels and a lowering kit.
