I can hear a strange noise from the front occasionally, independent to my operation. It sound like rolling a cassette tape in a old driver. The sound repeats every several minutes, and lasts about 5 seconds each time.

When I standing outside the car, it hears louder from under the bonnet.

Is this a normal noise coming from hybrid system?

    Thanks.

I wonder if you are hearing the brake actuator pump running, which does occur at somewhat random intervals, but is definitely associated with brake pedal use. Is it the same sound that you hear while parked, when you step on the brake pedal prior to pushing the start button to put the car into ready mode? Sometimes opening the driver side door will cause it to run. If so, then it is normal.

Thanks. I will try after a while. But I am sure at lease this sound is really easy to be heard during the start. Does the sound you described happen every time when I press the brake and push the "Start/Stop" button?
