Why not just use a silicon bead/seal around the wires & black cap to make it water tight so its never a concern?

I thought that it might have been designed that way for a certain reason (heat?). I may write them an email to confirm sealing up that end will not hurt anything.

Just confirmed with Web Electric that the module needs to be open on the bottom end to vent. Just mount it straight up and you will be fine. Had mine through the car wash many times and no issue.

Chief asked a good question so this is to clarify what the module does -

Vehicle On (parking lights OFF / headlights OFF) - LED DRLs ON
Vehicle On (parking lights ON) - LED DRLs OFF (parking lights ON)
Vehicle On (headlights ON) - LED DRLs OFF (headlights ON)

lol...cost of being the guinea pigs. Where are your pics! I went to Lowes and got a wing nut to replace that nut on the back..so much easier to juts reach up there with my hand and take it off or put it on.

No pics because its already installed...but it's the only nut back there and it helps keep the unit secured. Have you not mounted this yet? I do not use a jack stand but I have an elevated driveway into my garage so I pull it up to the top of the driveway and stop it just as it is about to level down...free jackstand!

You should have tinted the winkers before you glossified..it would have kept them from ever peeling. If i was to tint them I would have used the plasti dip SMOKE as tint and then glossified over it. Are you using a film tint over the plasti dip?

Are you using the access cover beneath and behind the fog light? I laid on a furniture blanket and installed these the first time no problem...before I realized the driveway trick.

yes, i took the black cover beneath the fog lights, however, I'm still finding a hard time to reach to the front winker lights and the fog light bezel, I cannot push those stupid grey pins out ><
