I couldn't find a thread with a full list of gov't subsidies, incentives, benefits, credits, etc for the Prius.

I live in Southern California. I know that at some point the Prius was eligible for HOV lane stickers, free parking in certain areas, offering some dollar amount for subsidies and other incentives.

Anyone have a full list, and links to websites on step-by-step instructions to take advantage of all of these benefits?

There is no longer a Federal tax credit for non-plugin hybrids. That expired awhile ago. I bought my Prius right after the $3150 Federal tax credit started (1/1/06) and when the yellow stickers were still being given out and valid.

If you want HOV stickers, see Eligible Vehicles - Single Occupant Carpool Lane Use Stickers. If you want the CA CVRP, see CVRP Eligible Vehicles.

If you want Federal tax credits, see Qualified Vehicles Acquired after 12-31-2009. You do need to have enough tax liability to qualify for all of it and I don't know all the rest of the details (e.g. whether there's an issue if you face AMT).

You can look at Federal and State Incentives for Plug-Ins, EV's | PriusChat for vehicles w/a plug (and thus excludes the regular Prius aka liftback, Prius v wagon and Prius c).

In short, if you want the Federal and state incentives, including HOV stickers and want to stay w/a Prius family vehicle, you will need to buy the PiP.

Seems like regular Prius buyers get no more love.

There's been not much of a need to put incentives on Priuses anymore. They've been selling fine w/o them.

All Federal tax credits on non-plugin hybrids ended 12/31/10 per Federal Tax Credits for Hybrids. There was also a phaseout period and Federal tax credits on Toyota/Lexus hybrids ended after Sept 07. Some automakers didn't go through phaseout since they didn't sell enough qualifying hybrids anyway (e.g. Nissan and GM).

I'd guess the government wants to encourage other technologies, to increase their adoption and bring their cost down.

    BuyAToyota!
shows some PiP incentives (I put in the 90024 zip). It might be worth it to consider a base model PiP due to the all perks. BTW, there's a pretty good lease deal on the Nissan Leaf (Los Angeles Area Nissan LEAF Offers - $199 Lease - $27,700 - $35,200 MSRP - Nissan USA). Federal tax credit and CVRP are larger since it has more battery capacity, but it is a pure BEV. It has no combustion engine.
