Hi guys, I want to install a led toyota emblem on the front of my prius, but I don't know how to disassemble the window wiper assembly so that I can access the wiper motor and hook my LED to it.

Anyone have picture instructions for these stuff?

:)doing one little modification at a time, next one will be putting a LED daylight running light underneath or in my headlight assembly....

I'm confussed as to why you need to access the wiper motor to install a new emblem on the front of the vehicle. But, since you ask, to access the motor, you first need to remove the two wiper arms. One arm is attached with two nuts, and the other one has one nut that is located under a cover that can be easily pryed upward with a very small screwdriver. Once removed, you will need to removed the plastic shroud that covers the wiper motor by removing the two plastic rivets (one at each end of the shroud). Once those are removed, on the front of the shroud you will need to push in the clips and push up from the bottom of them. Once the front of the shroud has been popped up, you will need to remove at least one corner of the shroud. It is best if you can remove both corners, but not necessary. These corners simply pop up, as they are attached to the main shroud with one tab. Once this is done, standing at the front of the vehicle, using both hands, give a firm pull of the shroud, which should pop it loose from the windshield. Once it is loose, you can remove it from the vehicle and place the shoud somewhere that it won't get damaged. This will expose the wiper motor. If you want to remove the motor, this can be done by simply removing the four bolts that attach it to the wiper motor tray and unplug the electrical harness.

I want to attach two LED wires to wiper motor for its 12v power, btw can you provide me a link/picture where all those parts are named? just a little unsure about removing it, and want to make sure all the clips doesn't break when I do remove them.

Why not just tap into the running lights or headlights, as they are in the front of the car?

That would seem like the logical choice, unless he is looking for constant power, but even then, I don't think the wiper motor assembly will provide that. My understanding is that you can jump the battery from the box on the driver's side of the engine compartment. This might even be a better choice.

I'm actually looking to put in LED DRL on the two headlights and third one I want to hook onto the wiper motor is a little LED for the toyota emblem. I wasn't sure if I hook more than one light to the same source would over-stress the source...don't want to cause any light dimming or blinking.

This is my first DIY for light mods for my car, so let me know what you guys recommend.
