    Just curious S'chrged, tks.

In my defense of Toyo tires: I have used them on MANY cars of all types. My old Mercedes, BMW, new and old trucks and many studded snows on a work van for a lotta years (35+) ...always looked good, performed very well, lasted.....well, never failed me actually. In the pacific n'west, a little more east, and thru into northern california there will probly be a Les Schwab close.

Just never used any studless snow tire of any brand.

In defense of being too lazy to search properly....uh..............I got nothin'.

    One can always check out:
    Toyo Observe G-02 Plus Review
and that will give you the 1010 tire site and some crap from canada.
.....not that canadiens have any winters to speak of.

I have nothing against Toyo tires, they have always made a good tire. I have more issues with Les Schwab being very expense. I've always saved hundreds of $$$ on every set of wheels & tires from Discount Tire/America's Tire compared to Les Schwab. To me they are a rip off & I used to work right next to a store & the manager there always said he would take care of us but his deals still sucked in comparison.

I get it. I know you're not banging tire brand.
Looks like you have a lot of tires to buy for all those cars.
I'm sure you've done your research.

My choices do not include Discount Tire / ATC (3 hours away, closest).
From the looks lof things I wish there was.
I live in a nowhere town on the dead end of life itself.
The only active culture here is in yogurt.

Seems like there are some good deals to be had there.
Even with the discounts/deals, by the time I get them shipped, installed by others at a cost, it's less expensive to go with Les and there are Les dealers all over the thousands of square miles that I will be travelling.
But honestly, the costs are almost a wash, within a few $$.
The long-term / big picture for me is to go with my past experience.
I also feel pretty confident that me or her will be able to get some kind of service/follow-up within a reasonable amount of time as there are dealers all over the place.

I have just never had non-studded snows on any rig before so I s'pose that should have been my original Q.
That tire/wheel deal you got is just ridiculous.
    Well done.
    That is really the exception.

Has been.... I have know hundreds of people who have run studless tires in the area.
I have lived here for over 33 years, but I just have never run snow tires in the past.
I have always gotten by with all-season tires. But the Prius doesn't come with all seasons.
But since I plan on keeping this car much longer than my normal, and actually wrote a check for it I decided actually buying snow tires this time wasn't a bad idea.
I think you will be happy with the Toyo's.
I am in the same boat as you, small town, no choices, closest discount tire is 100 miles away, and when you weigh out all the costs compared to the warranty and support I get from Les Schwab in the area is a no brainer.
I have a Schwab where I live and another where I work so I know I am covered.
    Good luck and be safe.

If you ever want to look at getting wheels & tires you can get them shipped already mounted & balanced. Always look at the total shipped price from Tire Rack & Dicount Tire Direct. With some deals it may cost you just a little more to get a set of wheels as I did! ;)
