Maybe if someone could actually mod the ecu we could solve the larger cold air intake problem I have. ;)

I wouldn't call Toyota Superior when it comes to engineering, as I see it they took a costly rout to come up with a so called solution to MPG.

it's economics, cheapest product that we are willing to buy... it is a technical marvel, however Toyota is still a car company. It's a business that needs to make money, therefore they are not going to spend the extra money to have a modded ECU for high-air flow or CAI as part of the OEM stock equipment.

Not all grandmothers need performance parts for their Prius, but some grandsons do!;)

i doubt they'd do anything to increase performance unless it also increased MPG. and difinitely not if it had the potential to lower MPG even at WOT. stock the car will go >90mph. i didn't do it on purpose though.

toyota really wants to be #1 so bad, they do try to give us a good product. if everyone buys a toyota, there's no need to gouge every dime out of each customer. the japanese, unlike stupid american corporations, have a long term greed strategy. they want all our business for the next 50 years, not just for the next quarterly dividend.

I agree that they do make a superior product and I am now a customer for life. I just wish I had bought a Toyota sooner. My wife's car is a corolla she loves her car, she's a loyal Toyota customer as well.
