I work in a town consisting of a high population of the elderly, and they are constantly opening their doors onto my doors in the parking lots. Anybody get the body mouldings? Anyone have a pic other than the stock photos that are out there? Thanks.

Honestly, while I like the idea of protecting my doors from dings, I just don't care for the look of these particular moldings.

I like the looks of the wide mouldings. Breaks up the rather boring look of the side. We are careful where we park but you know how it is, folks will swing that door open wide as hard as they can and "bang". I have even had it done to me while I sit behind the wheel. Really ticks me off. So, we park out and walk when we need to. Still, sometimes you come back to the car and some ding a ling has pulled right beside you. I refuse to park my hotrods parallel anywhere.

Oh, lord, I know what you mean. I try to park in a space that has no parking on one side so that I can pull as close to that side as possible... but still, people will crowd and throw their doors open like Jack the Ripper was in the car with them. Then there's shopping carts, don't get me started on those. And yes, I have been in the car when someone opened their door into my car and they don't even notice or bother to look embarrassed.

I have concluded cars are actually magnets. I will purposefully park near the end of an empty row of spaces and take a long walk to the store. While shopping I guarantee to myself that there will be a car parked right next to me when I come out, even though the parking lot is 3/4 empty. And sure enough, almost every time there is.

I think people just subconsciously want to park their cars near another car. So strange.

I've done this is restaurant parking lots when I am waiting for friends. I purposefully park near many empty spaces far away from the entrance so my friends will see my car and pull next to me, and every freakin time someone pulls in right next to me. I get pissed off and immediately move while giving them the annoyed look. Sheesh.

    Ya think? ;)

This is my bike and it's not photoshopped like the Prius pic. But I admit I would never paint my car pink :)

I like it too! But I get so much grief about my pink bike... I can't imagine the comments I would hear all the time about a pink Prius :)

I have a mental scoring system for spaces. No parking on one side (or at least a pillar or something) adds to the score. A SUV in the next space lowers the score. There are many other elements to this system. :cautious:

Very nice 'shop work there though... and I can easily see people wanting it in that colour... very striking. :)

Seems like many of us try to park next to a post on one side, as close as we can get.

There's a guy in town here, drives some sort of hopped up classic and carries traffic cones with him. Parks way out in the far end of the lot, one side against a barrier of some kind, and drops the cones in the other open slot.

I can't help but wonder how often the cones get stolen...

There's a shopping centre I go to once a week that has a few bays with big pillars either side and a wall behind. These are the holy grail of spaces. :D

Swimming pool noodles - tie a loop of string through the hollow core, hang one end of the string on the side mirror and the other end through the rolled up window of the rear door. If someone steals it, you're only out a buck and change.

Got mine from "Juiced Hybrid" they have some pretty cool stuff are cheaper and look better than factory. They color match and fit perfectly. Had dealer install, given the precise nature of fit. They look great, actually take away from the fat pumpkin look of the C model, make the car look sleeker. I'm fussy about looks, graphic arts training.

Well that is a most origianal paint job. My other Prius is a 09 Streetglide, sad thing is the Harley gets less mpg than the Prius. But they're already making hybrid scooters that get 112mpg.
