thanks for the info! it does look like you got the best deal (pre gov incentives). everyone else that's in my spreadsheet paid 33,xxx for the advance trim.
the sales taxes and registration fees for the car is going to be crazy high though, since its "price" is $37,279, and sales tax (and registration) are based off that. you're looking at 3200 in sales tax alone.

I don't have the bill of sale, but the tax and registration was about $3,200. My tax rate here is only 7.75%.

That's a pretty good price for CA. Though, just fyi, the prices we're quoting here DO include the TFS rebates (but not any others).
    Congrats on the PiP!

Be careful with Boch Toyota price because on the fine print it states "All TMS rebates and incentives applied to advertised prices". So if you go over there, some of those incentives such has graduate program, etc might not apply to you and, therefore, increase your price.

If however you have gotten that deal, please let us know because I am actually shopping around for one here in NY. No dealer can come close to that deal.

I told her as much but she really likes this dealership. She had been getting her 05 Prius serviced here. She can literally walk home from this dealership. I'm sure she's succumbed to dealer up sells the past 7 years. She might actually save money this way with a cap $400.

I did remind her about our other sister and her Subaru WRX prepaid maintenance. Dealer said she had to pay some $260 for the 60k tune-up. I told her to decline add-ons not listed in the manual. She indicated the dealer recommended maintenance is listed in the manual. Why it was not included in the 60k prepaid maintenance is a mystery to me. Dealer said it only covered standard oil changes and tire rotations and nothing else.

There is no Rebate in MA now. Only $249 lease deal. So, I don't know how they show that price. Unless it is not showing on BuyaToyota.com

Not sure where you are getting your info but every Toyota I have seen in MA still has a rebate - $4000 for basic and $5000 for advance.

    It's still showing up on
    BuyAToyota!
. You have to scroll down past the LEASE offers and it is listed under APR. $4,000 on base and $5,000 on advance.

Here's my "deal" in terms of total cost. $32,512 (including all fees, dealer charges, temp plates, carpet (rip off), 3 stage paint...four cups of coffee, and two test drives) out the door on a 2012 PIP in blizzard pearl with 11 miles and a full tank of gas. Did not go for the X-ended coverage. Minus the $4000 Toyota rebate at the dealer. That rebate applies to DMV taxes paid, which I was not expecting. Will take the additiona $2500 +/- 70 days. All said, looking at $26,012 for a car that's getting 125mpg in very comfortable style. KBB prices on my two trades as well. Might buy another one.

OK - more detail. From the sticker - $32,000 plus $220 color plus $225 carpets plus $67 wheel locks plus $760 delivery is $33272. Add $200 document fee and $20 registration fee, and $20 temp plate fee gets $33512. Then minus $1000 dealer cash to $32512. Then minus $4000 and $2500...to $26,012.

Subtract another $500, I ended up getting the $4000 rebate instead. I just got home last night from driving the car back from Boston, saved another $300 by not shipping. Ira Toyota Danvers,Ma. They went above and beyond to get me this deal.

Stearicom potentially qualifies for 2 prizes (1) lowest price on PiPA and (2) longest pilgrimage for PiP.
Talk about going the extra mile!

Can you please let me know who you got shipping quotes from? I am thinking about doing this. I am located in San Diego. And your read was obviously also that buying out of state will not invalidate getting the $1500 CVRP rebate right? Any way to confirm? Thanks!

As long you plan to register the car in CA for the next 36 months it shouldn't be a problem. Nothing about the state of purchase, just state of registration.
