They are both quoted as 220 miles. 12 and 13.

My FM reception is pretty good. Better than my 2002 Camry with in glass antenna. But then again, I had metallic tint film with that car, my current film is carbon based (3M Color Stable).

I compared the 2012 and 2013. The 2013 has the usual 51/48 mpg but 2012 has 41/44? Hmm

Are you comparing the Prius 5 or the Prius V? Those MPG's look like V estimates

    No I'm compairing 2012 5 with 2013 5 on the site.

That comparo has a lot of mistakes in there. The 220 mile range being one. I am betting the roof vs element antenna is a typo too. They just revised the FM antenna for 2012 by adding in glass antenna for the passenger side rear quarter window, in addition to the roof mounted. I doubt they are making another change now.

The comparo is provided by a 3rd party. Toyota's own spec pages shows the same info as 2012.

Thanks for verifying that. So basically it looks like they slapped on an extra $300 bucks and put a 2013 in the name, huh?

I am afraid so. But, $300 is within the tolerance of the skill of your negotiations. Might take another hour to get the same price as a 2012.

    Personally, I 'd take a 12 right now. 13 is unlucky. :cautious:

So did they JUST put the '13s on the lot? I could have sworn when I bought my car a little over a week ago they didn't even have any '13s.

I could really care less about the year of my car though, especially if there are no changes... heh.

Most dealers still have 2012's new but a few selected ones have stock in the new 2013's. It would probably make more sense to just get the 2012 at a cheaper price.
