New Prius Owner and New to the Forum

Hey Everyone.

First time Prius owner. I picked up a 2009 Prius 4 a couple of days ago. It's loaded with just about every option but leather. I've always driven Volvos. I love them, but live in Chicago, and was looking to get a car that gets better MPG. The Volvos cost a lot to maintain, and I had to fill them up once a week or week and a half.

I'd never driven a Prius before until last week. I wasn't expecting much in terms of comfort, but was pleasantly surprised. I'm overwhelmed with all of the gadgets and technology, but am quickly learning how to use the touch-screen in particular. It mostly makes intuitive sense. I made the decision to get a slightly older Prius so I could get more options on it. It's Toyota Certified, so I'm happy it's got a warranty.

It's got 54,000 on it. My max when looking was 60k, so I'm comfortable with the odo knowing it's got a lot of life left in it. It was one ownder, always dealer maintained at the recommended intervals, very clean, and runs great. Knowing it was well cared for sealed the deal for me with the sale.

 

Actually, my wife and I will probably have to buy a second car in the coming months. We will be looking at getting a wagon that has more room, and comfy on long trips. I gotta say that I'm really seriously considering a Prius V, but I think we're going to need a little more room than that. Looking at possibly a Subaru Outback or possibly a Jetta Diesel wagon. Any suggestions?

 

An Acura TSX wagon would be my first choice......
