    Hey all!

I lurked these forums hardcore for a few days as I was doing my research before I purchased my C so I just wanted to say hi and thank everyone.

I had a 2006 MINI Cooper S that gave me nothing but problems and finally decided that to go for something reliable and fuel efficient. I was basically dropping almost 2k a year on repairs after the MINI warranty expired.

I had it narrowed down between the Honda Fit and the Prius C. I liked the look of the Prius better, but I liked the functionality of the Fit. I also really enjoyed test driving the Fit and like it more than I expected. The small size of the C, the style, the fuel economy, and all the in-car eye candy that displays your driving efficiency sold me. I'm in a city so I wanted a small car - I loved being able to park in tiny spots with the MINI.

So far I really love the Prius. I have only had it for 2 days, but I am very pleased with my decision. I purchased the maintenance plan, since I like the idea of not having to pay out of pocket for the regular maintenance. I had a similar experience with that with BMW and thought it was nice. I opted out of the extended warranty, and really hope I don't regret the decision since I got completely burned by the MINI. I should have definitely purchased the warranty with that one. When the finance guy was talking to me, he said that the car can break down and it's expensive to fix - so I said that the whole reason I am buying the car is its supposed to be reliable...is that not the case?? It's a tough decision and I am still thinking about purchasing t for the peace of mind but have still not made up my mind. They also offered a paintless dent repair service for 5 years, no deductible for around 500. I said no, but being in the city I am also second guessing the decision. I get so many small dings it could be worth it to keep the car looking new. Does anyone have experience with that?

I will post some photos when I get home - that is certainly one of the things I enjoy about these forums. All the great pics!

Edit: pics! Sorry for blur out. I did a little photo shoot before turning in my other car. I'll have to take more of the C on its own.

Check for warranty prices in this forum to make sure you didn't overpay. The warrenty is cancelable and you can purchase one online, me, I'd probably skip the warranty, but I'm not just coming out of a Mini.

The dent less repair sounds like a good deal for $500. The Prius is not a thick grade of sheet metal. The extended warranty is not needed. The Toyota warranty is exceptional. You made a good decision on that. Congrats on the car. You will have many years of worry free driving.

Congrats and welcome! They look to be the exact same color! I also got the extended warranty as well thankfully I haven't had to use it. I would defiantly look into that paint-less dent repair service especially since you live in the city! Just remember people are very care less so that's why I tend to park far away and walking is good for you :)

I did not know that it could be bought online- is that through Toyota's own site? Please share the link if you still have it...

Wow I'm totally jealous. That color was my first pick. Apparently they're a rare breed. It looks so sleek!

Hope you enjoy the new c! I've had mine for just over 3 weeks now and I couldn't be any happier!

    Congratulations! :)

Wait there are 2 models? I thought the names were just used interchangeably. I'd seen reviews as far back as January 2012 referring to this years model as 2013.

Taking delivery of my C4 a week ago, drove over 300 miles, average 50 mpg highway and local combine, loving it, just need get use to it of the gas pedal, if you switching from a six cylinder vehicle you know what I mean.

I'd say no to the PDR plan. You're gambling that a dent, if it happens, will happen in the right spot for PDR to be effective. I tried PDR twice. 1st time they couldn't help because of the location of the dent. 2nd time was very successful and cost $150.
