I can't seem to get www.jurassictest.ch/GR/ to jive with my real-world experience. I set it to use a Nissan Leaf with 2.7 kWh battery capacity, but it's not working out. For example, today I was able to drive almost twenty miles on pure EV mode. When I calculated the route on Green Race it said I should have been at -20% capacity where I actually ran out of battery. I had to increase capacity to 3.3 kWh to get the end point to match, but then when I tried other routes I know the results didn't jive there either. Any tips?

The whole trip is 21.3 miles and the display reported 448 mpg because I had to burn some gas to go up a little hill at around the 20-mile mark. From there the rest was downhill coasting and a couple of ICE-assisted starts from traffic lights.

I believe that works out to around 6 oz. (177 mL) of gas :) Of course, I have to pay for that going back since my work doesn't have any charging stations nearby.

once you use ice, it's impossible to know pure ev range. jurassic park is probably right, try it sometime.

once ICE kicks in jurassic park is useless b/c it doesn't know PIP's MPG

No need to be sarcastic. I did try it. The point where I ran out of battery and the ICE kicked on is the same spot jurassic test reported I would be at -25% battery.

That's why I was only referring to the error in predicting where I would run out of EV. Jurassic test was wrong by several miles.

Pure EV the first 20 miles.

Same direction I actually travelled, with the first pin at my starting place and the last pin at the point I ran out of EV power. Temperature was about 50°F.

Yep. 1438 kg. That changes it from -25% to -21% at the point I ran out of "gas." Playing with the average speed changes things greatly. If I change the average speed to 71 kph (44 mph) it gets me to the right point. I don't know if that's right because the entire time was spent between 55 - 62 mph except for two traffic lights at the beginning. I know the average for the whole trip, but the last 1.5 miles is all streets with lots of traffic lights.
