What miles per hour speed driving the Prius C using the ICE gets the highest mileage?

Well, it doesn't take long to get to 15 mph and in attempting to emulate close traffic, I didn't think flooring it was a good idea. Again 1800 rpm was about what I used as a maximum. The Prius c is really no different from other cars in regard to rapid acceleration (some would argue this can't even happen with a c :) ) and rapid stopping adversely affecting MPGs. It IS possible to get very average MPG numbers. You just have to ignore the reasons anyone would want a c in the first place and almost try to get poor results.

Thank you for the kind remark.

Not a problem, I get rather fed up with name calling in arguments. It totally defeats the purpose of a logical argument to add attacks against a person. The only thing that should carry any weight in an argument is the facts and I'm glad that you chose to gather some (though you did do some name calling yourself, easy to do in a heated discussion). Indeed, if anyone has any similar facts that they have gathered, that would be a welcome sight to this forum's thread (and all of the threads, sometimes they get off topic my posts included :)).

*sigh* Wish I had a c to give some testing results of my own .

Other than calling myself a 'low-brow knuckle-dragger', I can find no instance of name-calling in this thread on my part, frugal. I called a claim B.S., since to me it seemed an obvious fallacy. Here in Texas we occasionally step into the real stuff, so perhaps we are more familiar with it figuratively as well. I understand ad hominem attacks, as I have been the subject on many occasions - even here at Prius Chat.

I have been so devastatingly truthful and factual on some occasions  , that a moderator (whose ideological bent allowed no room for an opposing opinion) has excised an entire thread consisting of hundreds of comments on the grounds that I returned ONE insult with another. Since this is a private chat room, the moderators may do as they wish, of course - even deleting one's entire, carefully constructed, signature for including in it facts and innocent humor that that might make others uncomfortable. I understand that. So, having been banned here for a week at a time probably more times than our friend, Hieronymous, has commented, I am particularly careful NOT to call people names. If I can sneek sarcasm under Big Brother's radar. well, that's another matter. :)

Being off-topic is a way of life on chat forums, as well as never using the search function and starting brilliant threads like 'what did you have for lunch today,' on the technical forum. Things we learn to live with.

Well, you may be correct and I apologize for inferring otherwise. The only phrase that I considered name calling (more of a character attack) was when you stated that hieronymous had "passive aggressive tendencies" that he was transferring to others. At any rate, lest this tread go off on a tangent, I appreciate the trouble that you had taken to get the results you showed. I'm sure everyone here appreciates it when someone does the research and lays it out for everyone to see (not just when responding to someones claim). To any other prius chatters reading this post, keep up the good work in your reports, I love to read them as they are very helpful to when I own my very own Prius c.

Oops, mea culpa. I'd forgotten that comment. A failed attempt at humor (since H didn't display any passivity at all). I can see how it might have had the opposite effect. Thank you for pointing it out.

Now, when you get your c, what speed will you be driving it? :)

While many may find fault with the c for whatever reasons, I find it as entertaining as any car I've owned. I'm past drifting around corners and setting speed records to familiar destinations. So it fits an old man on a budget. If I win the lottery, that could very well change.

I also appreciate Prius chatters who add to the knowledge base. There are many here who know far more than I. I only hope my small contributions are helpful to some.

    Awesome post.

Although how you managed to put up with that sort of driving voluntarily for close to an hour is beyond me.
