Hey gang, has anyone done a write up or got photos of how they installed a powered sub into the Prius? Preferably in the back in the storage bin? Also, one that wasnt a JBL setup because I dont have the amp under the seat to tap into.

I tried search a few different ways and came up with nothing, if I missed a thread, my apologies.
Otherwise Im just trying to see the best way to tap into the factory system with a powered sub just to add a little bass to the back end on the factory Prius II.

    Any help is appreciated! :)

I don't actually know how to do it.
There are certainly threads available thru the search portion of this forum.
I think that's what the silence is about.
    Just a guess.
    Call or email crutchfield.

I did search, all I found is full installs or tapping into the jbl system. However I only have the basic radio. I guess I clarify, I want to tap into the rear speakers for a pass into the sub. But I'm not sure which wires are the speaker lines in the bundle under the door sills.

Has Been's diagrams are right on. There are others out there too if you google the prius schematic. I used to have but lost a version that also shows the connector layouts.
To wire the sub, tie into the door harness at the connector, it's located right behind the panel between the doors. You'll need to remove the door sills first. (Accessing the harness under the sill is tougher because its taped and heat shrunk over.) When you find the wires, if you have a dmm, just verify the 4 ohms from the circuit before you cut into it. I had a mistaken schematic and the pins did not match the colors. I followed the colors and all was good.
I used an amp with low inputs so also needed a converter. Used an Audio Control LC6i but if you you only need high inputs, just run the wire to the amp. You'll need a remote turn on as well unless the amp senses the audio. All the Audio Control converters will provide this as well as eliminate any noise.
