Almost 8 months in, and still loving my Prius C

I wish I could say the same. I purchased mine in June, have over 10k miles on it and am starting to regret the purchase.

I have the C4, the entune is really starting to get on my nerves, the map is out dated.

The ride in the car is just OK, my wifes 2013 Fiesta seats are 10x as comfortable as the C4.


I have had an slight alignment issue since day one, it has been to the dealer once for that and it was OK for a few days.



Overall, I do think it is a good little car.

 

Well, if it wasn't for the C I would not drive a Prius.

I do not care for the car much.

There are too many of them on the road in LA and the other LA drivers drive differently when behind a Prius.

I went for the C since it does not look like a Prius and not many people know about it yet. (I have removed the emblems)


I might go with what I originally wanted, the CT200h. Just not sure if I will be comfortable loosing the MPG yet. I drive 50+ miles a day.

 

I got my c at the end of April and I love it. My car before was a Prius and I wasn't sure the c would meet my expectations but it has. Even in the colder weather my mileage stays in the 50-51mpg range. I am very happy with the ride and handling and have no complaints about the navigation. I love the voice command feature. The only way I will consider getting rid of it is if they improve the mileage considerably on newer c models then a I'll consider trading it or selling it.

 

I always hate to hear about folks having problems with such a big ticket item. Sounds like the alignment thing is a problem from the build. My one complaint is not having automatic headlights. I have grown used to them from purchasing several new GM vehicles with that feature. We bought the C-2 and had the seats re padded and 2 "speed" heated leather seats installed. No complaints about our seats now. Did not want the on board navigation system or the automatic lock/unlock features. GPS units with new maps are cheap these days. I plan to add the 159 dollar set of fog lights very soon. Did not really care for the wheels that came with the 3-4 versions so we bought what we liked. We never average over 50 mpg on a tank like many of you do. Live in a small town and most trips are less than 2 miles. We travel a couple of days a week to part time jobs, only 26 miles. Just can't get over 48-50 mpg average on a tank but I am still happy with our choice of vehicles. Perfect for two people with an occasional grandchild. The rear seats stay folded down except when a grandchild, or two, comes along. I want fat tires but hate to give up any mileage.
Hope you can hold Toyota's feet to the fire and get the alignment problem fixed.

I accepted the C as a little car, with a little engine, very little power and little interior room but I was not ready for:


When I, as the driver and a passenger are buckling on our seat belts simultaneously, we both bend towards the center to reach for the buckle and wind up conking our heads together.

 

LOL, that has not happened to me, YET!

 

I wonder why there is the little sensor looking thing on the dash? Looks just like my automatic light sensor on the Vibe and the Chevy trucks I have owned. So far, this is the only thing I don't like about the C, no automatic headlights.

I love mine too. Got it in July and unfortunately I'm in between jobs right now. I didn't necessarily plan for this to happen, but I had to leave my current position and I'm in the market for a new one. The c makes job hunting a WHOLE LOT easier since I don't have to worry about spending a fortune going all over the place to hand in resumes and go on interviews.

 

Four months today. Still loving it. No issues so far. That is all.
