Nice, EPA just announced the 60kWh pack range at 208 miles.
Tesla Model S 60-kWh Version: EPA Range Rated At 208 Miles

What I was more happy to see is that it got an efficiency rating of 95mpge as opposed to 89mpge.
Very well may end up with a 60kWh version when our lease is up on our Volt in 1 year, 10 months and 16 days (but who is counting) ;)

Nice to see the 60's rating. So you are going all-in BEV.... what will you use for long trips?

We take one or two long car trips a year. The more I think about it the sillier it seems to be to buy a dirty, overly complicated ICE that I only need once or twice a year. So we will most likely rent.
We take a few longer trips, but we take a plane for anything longer than 500 miles or so. And, within 2-5 years we should have superchargers available so even our once or twice a year trips can be done with an EV.

I will be very interested to see the efficiency of the 40kwh pack. That very well could be our next car unless another auto maker comes up with a 130-150 aer car by then.

I have multiple vehicles in the household that I could use for longer trips but it seems reasonable enough to trade with a friend for a week or two if I only had a BEV. I have already committed to do such a swap for a friend getting a Telsa in the next month or so.

Excellent idea, even easier than renting and I know a number of my neighbors who would likely be open to such an arrangement.
