Is it worth spending a little extra on a 2007+ model compared to a 2005/6 model (with the smoked rear indicators,UK). Were there any problems that were ironed out by then?

    Thanks, Martin

Most of the problems were sorted after 2006. The MFD (multi function display is also of a higher resolution and was modified to get rid of soldered joint problems. Recalls were issued to cover inverter/transmission coolant pump problems.

    Hope this helps.

    John (Britprius).

The choice of model is down to you. I think the T3 is perhaps a little spartan, no cruise control etc, but whether it is worth paying the extra for the Tspirit with nav, blue tooth, voice control, rev cam, and park assist is debatable.

I like everything on one display and the nav in the UK/Europe works well but is not intuitive to use (does not accept full post codes).

The reverse cam is very useful but the park assist takes to long to set up in traffic to be useful.

The blue tooth telephone with voice recognition is excellent.

The nine speaker JBL sound system I find is very good but this is subjective, many on PC complain of a lack of bass.

Thanks for the advice. I'm definitely going to be getting a t spirit trim level. So I would generally be better of going for a 2007 onwards due to the higher res screen and the issue with the water pump being sorted?

Late 2006 on Tspirit gets reversing cam as standard also park assist so yes that's the one to go for. What area are you in.

    Sunny(!) Derbyshire

Is there a time limit for all the recall work to be carried out by at all?

Not that i'm aware of in the UK but if there is it's usually 2 or 3 years.

Had a few days in the peak district last year but I don't remember any sun, still nice area. I'm in Herefordshire on the boarder of Wales rather remote and quiet (except when the SAS are on maneuvers).

Oh yeah, I forgot.... sunny it isn't lol! I know Hereford - been there on rugby tour a few times.

So to summarise, Ideally I need a 2007+ T spirit that's had the water pump and steering column recall work done?

Thumbs up, but you can always have the recall work done most dealers will even supply a courtesy car.

Have you played at the Luctonian's just down the road from me.

Hmmm, I can't remember the name of the club, however I distinctly remember going over a small bridge leading up to the club and the club house was set over two floors with the bar being on the 1st floor. The rest is a blur lol!
