This particular part of I-5 going South is the best stretch of continuous downhill regen on the whole west coast... You could re-charge an entire plugin Prius dropping downhill out of the Siskiyou mountains for hours till you get to the Sacramento Valley. As always the best MPG is because of gravity. :) I mean the right crosswinds and tail winds can make a big difference too... One of the wildest places in California these hills are...

Anyways things didn't go so well today for these folks... Let's all be the opposite of them for the holidays!

And say a prayer for the person responsible for keeping that particular patch of road ice free... You know they know about that part of the road... I mean this California, not the frozen tundra... And now the worst case scenario just exceeded their expectations, yet tomorrow it will be beautiful and sunny in California again and there's gonna be alot of good lawyers gett'n in on this one...

Two best things California is good at: sunshine and lawyers lawyering stuff...

Let's hope Californians learned something about following distance as well.

Most Californians in SF and LA will tailgate you if you aren't going faster than 75 mph... They're very impatient, suprisingly lucky too... People are more chill than that in rural areas though! : -)
