I bought my Prius in April 2010, in the middle of this nonsense, because I knew the acceleration claim was baloney. When I sold my 2010 Prius in April of 2012, it was insanely easy to sell on craigslist. Today, Prius is the best-selling car in California. So this "diminished value" claim is a bunch of horse pop, in my opinion.

That must be a date invented by a lawyer.

So you bought your 2010 Prius while prices were distressed from a person or a dealer that was under duress. You should go back to that person or dealer and write them a check yourself since you don't think Toyota should.

it's amazing how much crappier the new all-weather mats are. even the carpet mats. when i was selling my mom's 2003 Prius, I was amazed at how much nicer the carpet mats were. The grippers on the bottom, in particular, were so good that you absolutely could NOT reposition the mat after putting it down by sliding it – you HAD to raise it up, adjust it, and then put it down again.
the AWM in my Pip are so flimsy, they end up moving when people get out of the car. insane.

We started carrying the Weathertech AW mats for that exact reason. They are as thick, or thicker than the original Toyota ones, from before the recall, and they are a higher durometer rubber, so they last longer too. They also make "digital floor liners" for those people in REALLY messy environments. www.weathertech.com

It's also pathetic how not far up into the foot well the driver's side floor mat goes.
