Prius Drivers prefer to live in which region of the nation?

South Beach rocks!

 

I don't know many people who want to live anywhere in the US. Some of them are American.

(Sorry - that's just my smartass way of pointing out the narrow-mindedness of a US-only poll on a site with international membership.)

 

Little Five Points is a very cool area of town. Atlanta is known for it's Ice Storms... usually in January.... winters are usually mild and the summers are hot but not has hot and humid as Florida. Traffic sucks in the ATL. I have lived in the area since 1984. I've seen alot of changes.

 

Virginia is for (Prius) Lovers.

 

OK, looks like we agree on that part.

We all have our own perspectives, which are not always easy to see beyond. That's what I was poking fun at.

Given a choice outside the US sign me up for Australia!

 

I would rather live in parts of the US than any other country, but there are countries I would rather live in than other parts of the US.

 

Agreed... For me I have the best of all worlds.... Rural but ocean close by, sailboat racing, room to run, trail ride and four seasons. If I need to ski it is a car ride away and NYC and Boston are available.

Sailing in Perth would be a helluva lot of fun with a 30 ton racer whose only purpose is to go wave blasting! Having had family that lived in Australia gave me a nice perspective on it....

 

For some, maybe. It was fun to visit CA but even more fun to go home. Glad it has been kind to my son.

Listening to my son complain about 37F in LA made me laugh as Spiderman had 41F in Alaska at the same time. I'll keep four seasons and the surprises I get like predicted temps of 60F tomorrow in my wonderful world and the fact I can go sailing next weekend - for me the cold ocean is not a deterrent. The ocean and I are involved personally.

 

Indeed. I've been round quite a bit of America (but I've never been to me).

And I've lived in several countries. And I think Sydney really is as nice as it gets. (Except for the property prices, but I suppose that's because a lot of other people like the place as much as I do.) Nice people, lovely weather (except the past two weeks - 115F one week, floods the next), great beaches, empty countryside, fantastic food... It's ideal, really.

 

Australia sounds nice, but between the heat, the drought, the floods, the fires, and all the poisonous creatures, it's not high on my list of places to move to. Among locations in that part of the world, I think I'd choose New Zealand over Australia. And, as much as I've enjoyed my visits to California, I wouldn't want to live there. I'm pretty settled and satisfied with where I am now. Although, the thought of living on a sailboat for a few years and travelling the world sounds enticing....still, I'd need a place to return to, and somewhere on the South West coast of Canada will likely always be home.
