I just got an iPhone 5 and I can't seem to get it to play anything via the USB on the JBL in my 2010. Is there anything special I need to do to get it to work?

You didn't say specifically what the problem was. Other than hitting the AUX button again on the side of the Nav (presuming you've already connected it via Bluetooth) I can't think of anything.

When I plug in the cable and select USB on the screen, I get a message that says "There are no files available for playback. Please add compatible files to your USB device or iPod."

On the phone, go to music and select "Car Multimedia" instead of "Dock Connector"

Under "Music," I see Shake to Shuffle, Sound Check, EQ, Volume Limit, Lyrics & Podcast info, GroupnBy Album Artist and iTunes Match. Nothing about Car Multimedia or Dock Connector.

Double press the Home button then swipe over to the audio controls. That's where the Bluetooth / Dock Connector audio routing option is when you're connected to BT and plugged into USB at the same time.
