Im not changing my spending solely because of the increasing gas prices, but it is part of the overall pie. Since I bought the Prius, I feel "insulated" from volatile spikes in gas costs.

It just seems like everythings going up lately more than ever. Ive had to resort to shopping at Aldi's for the essentials (dairy, canned goods, boxed goods). Just trying to get and stay ahead is a struggle anymore.

Where in SE Michigan are you - Im going to start going to your gas stations :D

According the fuelly, 2-3 weeks ago I was paying $3.12/gallon. Today I went to fill up and it was $3.53/gallon, I had a $.10/gallon off coupon for Speedway and I used that. So in my area (Fraser/Clinton Township) gas has increased $.40/gallon. Thats $3.60 more per fillup over two-three weeks ago. Doesnt bug me like it used to in my 15mpg SUV though  The more gas prices increase, the more my Prius pays for itself! Plus I filled up today (1 blinking PIP left, "Add fuel" message on MFD) and the car took $31. If it were my old SUV, I'd easily be paying $80.

    No complaints! (y)
