Steering recall performed, then 33 mpg instead of high 40s

Roughly what sort of offset (degrees) are we talking about here guys? Remember that a normal wheel alignment won't correct this. You'd have to specifically ask for the steering wheel to be aligned. Sorry for stating the obvious lol.

It would be very interesting to hear if the alternate mechanic gets it right first go though. It certainly would tend to confirm the "innate deficiency" hypothesis.

 

Mine is about 5 degrees. Just enough to be annoying to me. I agree I would have to ask to center the steering wheel as well..
