Where did that tray come from? I don't see one anywhere in my car. Perhaps I'm about to discover a new thing about my Prius. :)

You're not missing anything - it's pretty useless for anything, looks like it's for an ipod rest.

It taught me to drive better... not using my brake like I used to, learning pulse & glide and trying to get the most MPGs out of every trip... and learning to trust a front wheel drive car in ice and snow again after years of four wheel drive vehicles... (witnessed someone else's Prius tackling my unplowed road in 6" of snow... that is truck work for me but was happy to tackle 2" without any "worry" from the display) and looking forward to summer MPGs after working with what winter gives you...which was somewhat depressing...:(

And my wicked side came out last night after the dinner with my nieces... had a serious tailgater who did not get off my bumper even though I was at or above the speed limit. Windshield was dirty anyway from road spray due to melting snow... and the tailgater got a load of ("oh my Gawd, that stuff just came from a Prius?!" ) wiper fluid elegantly and aerodynamically deflected from my Prius to the front of his/her SUV and he/she backed off.

I was just taking care of business... needed a clean windshield and just defending my personal space on winding, dark, deer laden rural roads. :D

This stuff they don't mention in the owner's manual.

Can't do that in LA unless your Prius is bullet proof! LOL!

today i thought my nav was messed up since it wouldn't let me enter an address or use the POI - realized it turns off when you're driving. when your stopped even when in D, it will work and not greyed out.

Look in PriusChat store for the item and search for the NAV Override threads here to see the installation comments and instructions. It works great.

It's called "get a Garmin" or whatever brand of gps floats your boat. I'm not even kidding. You will be way happier with any off the shelf gps than the crap one in the prius. Happier in terms of features, and especially in the long run when it comes time you want to update your maps and find the upgrade for your prius gps cost nearly double what a gps with lifetime free map updates does.

I just figured out that the little light in the roof above the gearshift lights up the gearshift. I'm usually just eyes to the road and don't have a chance to look around in the car when I'm driving!
