When did you stop worrying about best mileage for each trip?

I always try to get better mileage when I drive my Prius, never stopped.

 

Another question might be:
will there ever come a time when I stop looking for way to improve MPG?

 

I think "worrying" is the wrong term. It's something I look forward to every day.

I was doing this 5 years ago when I had a 90 mile roundtrip daily in my '97 BMW 328i. In the summer I could do ~32 mpg with that.

 

I stopped hyper-miling a couple of months after I got my '12. The current commute just is not conducive to stress-free driving for best mpg in traffic. Instead, I try to do my best to be as efficient as I can when conditions allow.

 

Don't know what part of AZ you're in, but here in Phx it's most definitely not conducive that's for sure lol. Every time I try to take it easy is when some other ahole decides to run up my tail close enough for me to see the pimples on their nose! But I still love trying as long as no one's on my tail too much.

 

I hear you. I'm in Tucson and we have more than our fair share of butt heads on the road. I just try not to be one of them.
