Not really, well maybe. But, I'm feeling good about my month old 2012 Prius Plug-In. I installed a Leviton Level 2 charger at home two weeks ago. The same afternoon, I sent my factory Level 1 charger to EVSE Upgrade in California for upgrade to Level 2. Two weeks to the day (yesterday) had it back. Not bad for coast to coast travel & back. Drove to work this morning in EV mode, ICE cut on several times due to cold temperature. Arrived at worked and hooked up my modified factory charger (now Level 2) to my recently installed 240v line. Set the car timer to charge one and a half hours later. Promptly at 9:30 AM it charged for 90 minutes to a full charge. Hopefully, my 9.8 mile one way work commutes will at 999. Especially looking forward to warmer weather. Thanks to EVSE Upgrade for their professional work and service.

    Congrats on the PiPA...
I also did the "EVSE Upgrade", now that I've had it for a few months- I couldn't imagine going back to 120v charging.

It's been frigid here- in the teens overnight, so my EV range is down to 9.3 to 9.4 mi.
We occasionally get a day in the 40's to 50deg and the EV range instantly rises to 9.5+mi. Can't wait for spring to start seeing 11-12 mi EV range again...

:DLeft work with 10.5 miles on the meter. Fourteen minute drive home, 9.9 miles later, 99.9 MPGe, with .1 left as I pulled into the garage. Houston, I like EV mode the best.

don't call it MPGe! That's something completely different :) (namely: take the number of kWh consumed, multiply by 33.7, take the number of miles driven, divide that by the result).

    Congrats.

I also did the EVSE upgrade. That quick turn around makes a big difference...

That is great that you can charge at work. That's perfect for the one-way 10 mile commute. You should be able to do mostly EV miles at lunch too...

    Enjoy!

I wish I were in your position .... 10 miles one way then recharge. You're a perfect owner for a PiP.

A question ... what speed are you doing mostly while in EV?

:)Thanks for the reply. Work is a 10.5 to 11 hour daily sentence. Not complaining, most do a lot more with a long commute. Too much wasted time to go out, so I do lunch at work.
:DThanks for the reply. I alway thought I had a easy commute. Good roads and light traffic. At least four of my "all EV travels" have been with .1 battery power left. Last two nights and it's exciting to make it. My work commute is 9.8 miles. The middle portion is interstate and I set the cruise for 60 mph in a 70 mph zone. The other two segments, 35 & 4o mph. Mostly flat with some slight inclines and opposite travel declines.
