Tried to find this in the C manual, but what I found wasn't much help. Tried looking in phone manual with the same results.

I want to copy the address book from my cell phone to the car so I can use hands-free dialing or even voice activation, but I cannot seem to get the phone to send the data nor the car to suck the data from the phone. Any thoughts?

Phone is an LG - LGA340, car is a C2.

Since we are now a hands-free state, it's a pain in the butt to have to wait to dial until I'm at a red light.

Does the 2 have voice recognition?

I don't know about the 2 itself, but the phone does so I'm hoping it will work through the phone. Even if voice rec doesn't work, it would be safer and more legal to have the address book work through the car so I don't have to manually pull out the phone and dial.

It's curious how some automakers prioritize certain features. The audio system in the Prius C seems to favor bluetooth audio streaming, but not phone calls. This is the opposite of my recent VW Golf TDI, which had amazing phonebook download and hands-free calling, but awful audio streaming.

Your best bet may be in the aftermarket, but that can be an expensive solution. I know you can navigate through the head unit and see the numbers of recent calls, so if you recognize the number you can click it and call, but to my knowledge the car doesn't have a phonebook download in a super-easy way like VW/Audi.

We have Iphones. Had a lot of trouble with phone book staying in til we upgraded to most recent 6.2, actually 6.1 fixed it. No problems since. I posted this in another thread. Iphone is all I know about.

Got it. Needed the phone book to be in the PHONE not on the extra memory chip. Disappointed that I cannot control the address book from the steering wheel, only from the "radio" controls... but it's still better than having to dig out the cell phone itself.

Not better than digging the phone out... at least not until I can drastically edit the address book. Hard to navigate, too many unwanted entries which have been moved to the top. Argh.
