    Hi Prius C gurus,

This weekend I made a move to get back into a manual transmission car for my daily driver. I don't regret having the Prius C for a second, as it was a flawlessly reliable vehicle and excelled at being amazingly efficient. I'll continue to champion the car as an affordable and fantastic commuter car with a dose of fun and a whole bunch of practicality.

I opted to trade-in my C, as the trade-in offer was attractive since the car maintains its value so well. I returned the car to stock, so as such I have a bunch of really awesome bits up for sale I wanted to extend to the wonderful forum members here first.

Please visit my Project Thread as it chronicles most of the items I have for sale:
*OEM Toyota oil filter for $5 shipped
*McGard Spline Drive lugs with 3 keys, $50 shipped for the set
*Powergrid adjustable front anti-roll bar drop links [much stronger than stock and improves transitional quality] $120 shipped
*Konig Daylite wheels in gold in 15x6.5" et40 with Michelin X-Ice Xi3 185/60-15, still tons of tread left. $500 shipped
*Pristine OEM Toyota carpet floor mats and Prius C embroidered trunk carpet. $100 shipped
*Custom subwoofer enclosure built from 3/4" MDF screwed and glued and designed to fit the spare tire well and bolt down using the spare tire bolt-down. It has two Dayton 8" subwoofers in a sealed enclosure and oriented in a horizontally opposed arrangement to not induce any chassis vibrations, and it matched the acoustic response of the car amazingly well. As-is they are a 2 ohm mono load and need about 350W to get the most out of them. Thinking $250 shipped is fair.

I'm flexible on pricing, especially in hopes that these parts can find a good home. The coil-overs and drop-links will transform your Prius C into a cornering monster without ruining the ride quality. In fact, their advanced valving rides essentially as good as stock, but handle much better.

Thanks, Cheers, and plan to stick around for a bit,
    Ryan

    P.S. these are sold:
    *KW Variant 3 coil-overs $1300 shipped
*949 Racing wheels in silver w/polished lip in 15x7 et36 with Continential ContiProContact Eco+ in 195/60-15 with virtually all tread left. Both these wheel/tire sets are lighter than stock and are LRR rated, and don't have TPMS. $600 shipped
*XenonSupply Prius-specific HID kit w/4300K bulbs [max lumens, OEM Xenon light color] $50 shipped

Got your message! I went with the Fiat Abarth. Going from a quiet efficient car to a rough-n-loud little scrapper is quite a transition.

Here are some pictures circa minutes ago after washing and drying the KW V3's & Powergrid drop-links. :)

    Clean threads and shiny stainless

Also, I didn't snap pictures, but I have the original KW shipping box and tools. None of my wheels are dinged, curbed, knicked, or have any imperfections. They might as well be brand new, except they're mounted & balanced and ready to go.

    Thanks for looking!

Sorry to see an advocate of the car go so soon, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Good luck with the Fiat. :)

Thanks Rob. I really wish the C had a manual trans option, but alas it doesn't make technical sense with the HSD they way it is. If Toyota puts an IMA in the Toyota 86 I might be back in a hybrid sooner rather than later.

I'm actually bummed I never got to take the Prius C out on the racetrack for some hot laps. The race shop that corner balanced the car is going to be annoyed at me for not making full use of the suspension work.

Just FWIW, when I put the stock suspension back in the C, I was amazed how similar the bumpy-road ride quality was to how I ended up tuning the KW V3's. The main differences are the transition quickness of the V3's is close to race-car reflexes without adding harshness, and big bumps are a bit firmer than stock due to the spring rates being literally double the stock spring rates, and the digressive dampers can only work so much magic. Nevertheless, the KW V3's passed the "bringing my mother to dinner" test with flying colors; she didn't comment at all on the ride quality, which is a testament to having your cake and eating it too. ;)

    Dang!

We lost a "how to do it" source with reliable "how its done" hands-on knowledge and experience.

Ryan, Let me guess, this isn't the first time you've traded a new car for something entirely different.

The Fiat looks like a fun car, but will you try to improve the sound system when you can hear nothing but the car??

Update: 949 racing wheels and HID kit are sold. Thanks guys!

Haa haa, indeed you are correct. I love tinkering with cars and improving them. I've done it enough now that I try to methodically improve the car instead of just modding for the sake of modding. The Prius C for sure lends itself well to having a good audio system as the powertrain is so quiet. I haven't decided exactly what I'm going to do with the Abarth, but for sure suspension and audio are on the to-do list. Even though the wonderfully growly exhaust is a prominent aspect, it's subtle enough on the interstate where I love to hear clean music on my commute.

KW V3's are now off to a new home, thanks :)

Anybody need an oil filter, carpet mat set, Spline drive lug nuts, strong drop links, awesome winter tire setup, or interested in a seriously awesome custom subwoofer setup? (y)

How did you like the hid conversion? How was the beam pattern?

The beam pattern is exactly the same as stock, which is what you want in a projector beam setup with an HID retrofit. The light output however is much greater with the HID, exactly as expected. It's a painless and awesome upgrade for the car.

In other news: Is anyone interested in the OEM carpet mat set + trunk mat for a great price? I'm also selling my awesome subwoofer enclosure made especially for the spare-tire-well. I still have my uber-fun gold winter wheel/tire setup available too. All of these would be happy at a new forum-members home. (y)

Interesting move from a c to a Fiat. Drove a full boat 500 a few miles. Not a bad car, and the manual had good feel... throws not too long, but I have to say that liked the Mini a little more.

The Abarth version is probably a very different car. Like to see some pictures of your new ride if you get the chance to post some.
