I decided to purchase the DDM tuning 6000k Hid kit after seeing some other Prius C owners converting to Hids. I absolutely love the fact that the factory headlight assembly already has projectors in them and a separate set of bulbs for high beam. 54 bucks later and 20 minutes of my time. Here's a few photos of the end result (note taken with Iphone so photos may not be top notch). Overall I'm quite satisfied, I can see the road clearly and very seldom do I have to turn on the high beam. The cutoff point is perfect.

Are the ballast secure? they look kinda just wedged in there.

    Looks great though!

I have an extra DDM kit at home that I never installed. Maybe for the fogs..

People here like Xenon Supply more than DDM even they're more than double the price. DDM ballasts are Lifetime Warranty. I bought Xenon Supply first for my headlights and later got 55W DDM to try out: the result is Xenon Supply go to the fog lights and will stay down there, period.

What are you using 35W or 55W? After reading online I got 55W at 4500K because it's the brightest. also 55W makes them more like 5000K.

I went with Morimoto 5Five (50w) 6k. I also have the 55w DDM tuning 6k from my honda accord and installed them (passenger Morimoto) (driver DDM) on my car. You can clearly see a huge different from the Morimoto and DDM Tuning. The DDM Tuning 6k got more blue tint to it than the Morimoto. The light output on the Morimoto is much crisper and whiter (barely any blue tint) than DDM Tuning.

The only downside on the Morimoto is.. Yes you will get the ground shadow from their H11 bulbs.. BUT, from what I’ve read on HIDplanet and Toyotanation.com is that you can shave down the large tab on the bulb and turn that ground wire down and you will not get the ground shadow. I will test it out sometime this week and let you guys know the result.

I wanted to get the Morimoto 3Five elite system for my fog light but I don’t think I would want to pay another $150+ just for the fog light (rather spend that on a scan gauge II). So I went with DDM 35w system. I should receive the DDM sometime this week or next week.

That's what I've read about Morimoto and DDM but you posted a better result side by side. Not sure you want to try 4500K for the DDM or not because they said the 55W driving the bulbs to 5000K, so they might not be too blue like yours at 6000K.

I did the same test with my 35W Xenon Supply and 55W DDM (driver Xenon, passenger DDM) and the 55W DDM is much brighter than 35@ Xenon. Is your Morimoto much "brighter" than DDM?

Its not that much brighter since you are right about the 55W driving the bulbs down to 5k. There are big different between DDM 6k bulb and Morimoto 6k bulb. When i hooked up the DDM bulb to Morimoto Ballast you can still see the blue tint on them vs the much more whiter from the Morimoto bulb. So technically the Morimoto is a bit brighter due to whiter light output then DDM.

I bought the Xenonsupply 4300k bulbs and i didn't like the result of it. Sure you get more light out put from it but if you want the pure white (whiter) effect of your bulb i would recommend the 5k and 6k. The 4300k got a lot of (brighter) yellow/white in them. I was disappointed when i put the 4300k in since it is almost the same in color of the stock but much brighter.

I haven't test out the Xenonsupply 6k bulb and their ballast yet so i couldnt tell how good they are comparing to the Morimoto.

I've heard Morimoto have the H11 with no ground shadow in 5K only, you have to ask them to send you the H11B when you order your kit. I haven't confirm this yet but i saw a few post about them from Toyotanation.com.

Just to clarify the 55W DDM is driving the bulbs Up to 5000K from their 4500K. Did you try in reverse: put Morimoto bulb in DDM ballast side by side? Not sure the ballast will push it to 7000K or not. I might just get the bulbs from Morimoto to use with DDM ballasts if they're much brighter.

I got the 35w 6000k kit for them. If and when I decide to get fog lamps. I may switch the 35w to the fogs then get a set of 55W for the low beams.

Ill take pics sometime this week of the Morimoto Ballast 50w vs DDM Ballast 55w ballast and do all the bulbs comparison test. That way you can decide which is best :)

I just might do these. They are cheaper then the other bulbs and look quite nice. I'll await your pics.

Most likely i'll post the pics of them on friday since i ordered the 35w DDM 6k kit for my fog lights. It should be here on Thursday evening. This way i can test out the 50w vs 55w and 35w 6k on the morimoto and DDM. Sorry for the wait guys.
