    Hey Everyone!
Sorry to say I haven't joined the club as of yet but I will learn the secret handshake soon enough.
I was wondering if anyone knows or could tell me the difference between a 2012 Prius c and the 2013 Prius c?
I haven't been able to find much online and there is a 2012 at a nearby dealership and I don't want to be hoodwinked into getting a 2012 when I may as well just order a 2013.
    Thoughts?
    and Thanks!

In sum, the only changes mentioned are under-hood battery terminals and some cosmetic details. If there's anything more substantial, nobody seems to know about it. (I might have expected a little more acoustic insulation, or some nuanced updates to electronics, but I guess not.)

Seems that 2013 models move pretty much at list, plus a hefty destination charge. How much discount will they give you for the 2012?

I've been trying to determine this exact thing this week. So far, from what I can see here in the Midwest, the difference is $1,000 or less. There weren't many changes between model years and the price didn't go up that much. Plus, the car is still so new, it tends to be going close to list price. That being said, when I did a search for Prius Cs in the area (vs when I did a few months ago), I was surprised to find a bunch of them! And if it helps anybody, Toyota's got an offer going for 2012 Prius C -

At the dealership that I was at it's 1.9% financing from 1-3 years and 2.9% from 4-5 years for the 2012 model. Whereas the 2013 is at 4.3% for 4-5 years.
I went with the 2013 standard package because the difference in price worked out to be $2 more a month for the newer Prius c. Then I realized the standard package doesn't come with 60/40 rear seats. As a matter of fact the rear seats don't fold down at all! And that trunk is really tiny. So I called back to upgrade it and now I'm waiting to see what happens...!!! excitement.

Are you sure? I am pretty sure the rears fold down. They don't split, but I'm pretty sure they fold.

The dealership didn't have the basic Prius C for me to see but I called the next day to check and they said the rear seat doesn't fold down at all. I mean, maybe the guy I talked to didn't know for sure cause the salesman told me that no one likes to sell the Prius C because they only make a $200 flat commission on it. So maybe most sales people aren't super informed on all the different features of the Prius C.
I ended up getting the 2012 tech pack one anyway, so no worries about seats anymore and I'm picking it up TODAY! whoop!

Your best bet is to check out the Toyota website and build a new Prius c and they will have a virtual tour of all the features. I used the website to get the info before I had checked them out at the dealership.
