Hi all, my prius is the canadian model with the LED headlights and the eyebrow park light LED strip. My question is my daytime running lights are the high beam lights on the canadian version. I wanted to run just the eyebrow lights for the daytime lights. Is this workable? My high beams look like they are on 50 percent when running the daytimes.

    Thanks,
    Colin

The eyebrow LEDs are not bright enough to be used as DRL IMO. They are barely noticeable in the day.

Lol, like they say, the grass is always greener on the other side eh?

The USDM Prius doesn't have DRLs on the 2010-2011 MY and I wanted the 50% highbeam DRLs for safety. So I had to mod our Prius and spend $$$ to get what you want to disable lol.

Can you tell us what you did to enable the DRL's on your 2011?

We don't get the LED DRLs on the 2012+ models like the US does. Ours still uses reduced intensity high beams.

I think from a safety standpoint, the reduced power highbeams are more visible than LED DRLs because they are higher mounted and disperse light at a wider angle.
