I am not one to leave cars stock(ugly) so I am slamming my prius 1.5" and putting my oem wrx rims which are 5x100. I used a tire size calculator and found out a good size that will only effect my speedo 1mph. 205 50 17...this size is really small for 17x8 rims. I wanna something wider and run like a 225 45 17 or a 215 45 17 but I dont wanna rub and have to roll the fenders. Anyone got a prius decked out?

As good as this may look, I wouldn't call lowering your Prius or any other car 1.5" ..slamming it. lol maybe a decent drop tho.. As far as the tire size...PC user "Mistah Ya" is running 215/35/R18s

PC user ToyoTechWV used 225/50/R15 with G3 wheels while using the same coil-overs I used and didn't mention any rubbing or fender rolling. Only reason I'm doing fender rolling is because of the 15mm front spacer and the 30mm front spacer I will be running with the current drop height. Currently running spacers 8mm front and 20mm rear.

I've dropped mine probably close to +2" and I wouldn't consider it even 'Slammed'.

    Here is a G2 'Slammed' on 20's

    or a G3 'Slammed'

There are others who have ran 215s with 18"s and 19"s

There are plenty more if you just 'LOOK or use the search function' - just click on the hyper-link..

Thanks man some of those look real good....20s are overkill tho. I went with a mild 1.3" drop and 17s will 205 50 17. It would like nicer with 18s and a 2" drop but I dont want a bumpy ride I drive 50k miles year. Black one with gunmetal wheels is my fav

Wow, I thought I drove a lot at 40k a year...50k! Dang! Believe it or not, my GC sleeves have tightened up the ride however, I wouldn't consider the ride bumpy even with my +2" drop. My girl isn't a fan of the 'bumpy civic on heated coils ride' and she hasn't complained...in fact she likes how much tighter the car handles and wants her G3 the same suspension mods. (y)

Screw that my other cars are very fast...2011 wrx and 1996 eclipse gsx auto. Both are lowered quite a bit and I hate the ride unless going fast as hell around a corner. Pot holes are brutal. I hate how any lowered car rides you scrape on everything too but its the price you for the look. I hate wheel gap more so....

225/40/18 all around, no drop minimal no gap and no rubbing.

    205 50 17 stretched onto a 17x8 oem wrx rim
Stock suspension right now in this pic. I am dropping it 1.2" in front and .8" in rear along w new struts cause the stock ones will be crap after its lowered. I have noticed my gas mileage went down 3-4mpg. Partly because of the heavier rims and tires. That number isn't accurate tho cause my speedo is off due to larger diameter wheels. Anyone got a formula to correct mpg when running a larger diameter wheel?

I will take more pics in the next week when the suspension is done. Silver is the best color it hides dirt and scratches the best. White only shows heavy mud, mild dust you can't see. Scratches in the clear coat are impossible to see. Worst colors are dark ones. I only buy white or silver cars. I had a black wrx worse color I ever owned. My current wrx is pearl white

I was referring to the wheel design and spokes....not the color of the car. I also drive a silver prius...as u may see from my avatar.

Haha sorry actually gunmetal rims don't get dirty either cause brake dust is the same color pretty much. Have never cleaned em :)

Sorry to be redundant but is there any modification necessary when running the GC sleeves (Part #:8070.01) on the 2nd gen Prius?

Nope...but...what does this have to do with the topic? Why not post questions in the appropriate thread or start your own?

I highly suggest senson shocks and struts 175$ and b&g springs 1" drop very mild. 400$ total
Here is a shot of a stock prius and then mine. Suspension and wheels are the only thing I am doing IMG_4837.JPG

Such a different look... looks waaay better. Looks like you got more than a 1" drop as well. Those wheels really fill the wheelwell. Are you gonna do spacers to bring the wheel more flush?

Not familiar with the Senson brand and part #s. Do they perform better than the oem KYBs?
