Did I make the right choice, bye to 07 Prius (Red) Hello 13 (Blue)

    I traded in our 07 Prius last week for a 13 Prius III Solar. Looking to "Pimp" the new ride, I found this site, wish I would have found it sooner. Now thinking maybe we should have kept the 07, the red looks so good, but so does the blue. I'm so confused, too late now. Already tinted the windows, looking at the LED turn signal mirrors, and maybe a couple others. Any advise?

    Congrats on your new Prius!! When I traded my 2010 Prius IV for a 2013 Prius v5, I stayed with Barcellona Red. Dealer had a dark gray v5 on the lot but I didn't like the color. People already identify me as the "guy with the red Prius" and I wanted to keep it that way. "My" car was already on the truck for deliver to the dealer when I signed the papers and thought it would take a couple days. But lo and behold, the truck arrived the next morning and I picked it up later that day! Funny thing though, some people don't immediately recognize that I have a new car until I tell them.

    Thank you, we went the blue because it needed to look different. Congrats on your new Prius too.

    This was my very first post ever, I have never written any post on any site but this looked like a good place to start and the people very friendly.

    Since you had the lesser of the two reds that the GenII came in I would say upgrading to a GenIII was a great idea. Salsa Red Pearl owns Barcelona Red Metallic. :p

    Wow I thought the Barcalona red looked good, but the Salsa Red looks better! I don't remember ever seeing one that color. And thanks for the warm welcome.

    Just giving you a hard time. There was a lot of rivalry between the Barcelona and Salsa owners. Some of us still miss the Salsa color. It was only available in 2004-2005 models.

    Now we need to see some glam shots of your new ride. Not enough modded blue cars on this site. :)

    I'm not from the Long Beach area but they had the best Yelp review and price. It was the best buying experience I've ever had. I'm in the Downey area and it was worth the drive, good catch

    Lol I would consider Downey as part of the LB area. And really? Yelp? They're a really tiny dealer, so after living here as long as I have, I've never really heard anything about them. Well glad you're supporting one of my local dealers! (y)

    I wasn't thinking it was in the area because I have lots of dealers from here to there but I am all about supporting the little guys that do things right rather than the big guys that don't care about anything else other than money. I am very happy with my choice so far!

    Do we have local meets in the area?

    I know there are, but I'm not aware of any off the top of my head. Maybe if we make some noise in this thread:

    It looks like everyone is kinda waiting on the other person. I don't mind co-starting a group, or even starting one myself. But I've never done before, so I haven't an idea on where to start.

    Yup, this is more of a big annual national meet that just so happens to be held locally this year. In terms of regular local meets, I'm surprised that there aren't many of em.
