Having an issue charging at recently intalled ClipperCreek stations. I charge fine at home with the factory device, charge fine at ChargePoint public stations, and charged fine at the Clippercreek stations everyday until suddenly the car won't charge just at the CC stations. Others can charge at those CC stations, but mine won't. These are free stations with no access card needed. Up until this week, the charger would start upon plugging in. It does not appear to be a timer issue since the otehr stations start right up and immediastely charge. Odd that for two weeks it worked fine, and I can charge at other lcoations but not now at these stations, even though others can. Any similar experiences or solutions? oh yes, the connector defintely seats based on the "click" you get when you plug it in. Thanks!

    Where are these located?

Maybe you used up your free charging :)

Does the yellow icon/LED next to the plug on the car light up immediately after plugging in the handle/connector?

Located at my employer. Electrician checked the power and that is flowing fine. No restrictions on access. Odd.

Is it possible that you pushed the timer?

Even with the timer on, the yellow light should still come on and then shut off.

If the light doesnt come on at all, that seems to me its a Clipper Creek hardware problem.. maybe one of the pins in the J1772 handle is messed up? Something with the signaling?

If there was a probelm with one of the pins in the J1772 would it still charge at all? Or would it be a unique problem only for Prius PIH vehicles? Have seen a Fusion and Leaf charge no problem.

I'm not an engineer, but apparently, there are some slight differences/variations on how manufacturers implemented the standard. For example, the earlier version of the EVSE that came with the Volt would not work on a PiP at all, but it would work on a Leaf. The Leaf and PiP EVSE, however, would work on a Volt and Leaf.

Interesting... I need to get another PIP here to test. That might yield some facts. Thanks!

. I'm assuming you reset the brick? Did the brick show voltage to it, a red light.
Rebooting the J connector a few times may help. If your cable works fine at home, then there may be a compatibility problem as previously stated. Strange that it worked the first time tho.

Maybe bring a can of compressed air and blow out any possible dirt in one of the connector pins.

You could also call Clipper Creek.

Have called CC and talked with one of their techs. He's stumped. There are four charging stations and cannot get one to work, plus they are new (3 weeks old) so don't think dirt is an issue, but will try it anyway. Thanks!

. The referred "Brick" is simply the heavy part of your cord with the reset, with CC maybe you were using their cord. On charge point either cord can be used. Since the chargers are new, it's very likely one has a glitch.

I am considering purchasing a Clipper Creek 25 AMP level 2 EVSE. Can you tell me what model is having the problem? I would like to avoid purchasing the same or similar model.
