Finally came across one...on eBay. It was custom made and arrived before the estimated delivery date. Overall good fit. Love that it has mesh for the grills. This will be helpful for all my trips to my parents' house in the country. image.jpg image.jpg

Got mine today. I think they look good. Just take it off every time we wash the car. I even have one for my motor home. With the screens over the fog lights I hope to not break another one.

I ordered the same front end mask! I got notification that mine was shipped a few days ago. I should be getting mine any day now. When I do, I'll post picks. From what I see, the mask fits great. Thanks for sharing the pics.

They do fit great. Took me 10 minutes, after I polished the area, to get it on. You will like the ease of installing. Mine was 69.95 with free shipping from a website I found at bottom of ebay page. Not everyone likes them but we tow behind a motor home so this is a necessity. Had same brand on my Vibe GT and it lasted for years.

Did you just punch holes for the front tag? I need to install mine also and am not cutting the entire thing out. On the Vibe I just drove around with the plate under the front seat. Got stopped one time in 8 years, so no hurry to install this one.

I just cut out the area that they specified for the plate. I took the plate off during install and put it back on as my last step. Front plates are required in Ohio :-(

Got the front end mask today. Put it on and took some pics. Very easy to install and remove. Fits pretty good, could fit a bit better. I don't really like how it's clipped on the bottom lower rubber skirt under the front bumper. It always scrapes going into our driveway. I'm concerned I'm going to ruin the bottom clips of the mask. Also, not thrilled with the license plate opening. I need to cut out the opening, but not too sure how it will look. Again, I like it because I drive a lot and I'd rather have it on for long road trips than not. Overall I am happy with it. Let me know what you think!

How was your experience with flapping bras? I have always wanted one for protection on long road trips, but the general consensus on this site is that they can damage the paint if fit is not snug and it flaps at high speeds.

It will lose those wrinkles when the sun has time to draw it up some. I ran one of these on a black Vibe gt and it did not show up like the masked wrestler on it. Won't show too bad on the gray. I had the one on the Vibe for 8 years I think. Was pretty tattered when I took it off. But, I hit it with my vdub and tore it. Was brittle after following the motorhome for about 45k. For 69 bux, I think it is a good deal but some folks would not want to take it off when cleaning the car. This one is actually much easier to get on and off than the one on my Vibe. The paint does not fade under bra so it needs to come off some to keep up with the fading car paint. The rubber deflector under the front bumper does drag a lot so will need to be careful. Warm water and a dryer sheet will take the bugs right off of it.
I am not cutting out the entire front license plate hole. Will put some holes in it for the screws, after it tightens up more.

Fogot to answer a question. I have no flapping on this one. I suppose you are talking about on the hood. This one lies better than my previous one, which did have a little flap til it shrank a bit.

Ok so is it safe to assume that the myth of bra doing paint damage instead of helping it only applies to some bras?

I forgot to add that dirt gets under the bra and rubs against the paint. Did u ever experience this?

That's what I experienced and assumed that's why vinyl bra's died too? They do scuff up paint where ever there's contact and when there's any amount of dirt caught between the bra and paint, it's accelerated. I thought that's why clear bra's now no?

While researching this topic, I came across some vinyl bra owners who said they don't have any issues when used a certain way and as long as there is diligent care and maintenance. I.e, taking off once a week to clean, using painters tape on contact points before wearing, using only on long trips, etc.
