I re-booted my computer thinking it had 'jumble' threads?
I thought this thread was about the G4 in 2015?

There's an even madder version, the G65 AMG that isn't sold in the US (yes, G63 and G65... yeesh). 571hp (vs. 544hp in the G63) and almost double the cost (~US$347,000 including sales tax converting from 267k Euros).

For giggles, the fuel consumption on the (lenient) European cycle is 22.7/13.7 (L/100km) or 10.4/17.2 (mpg) city/hwy.

Floating bridge console cuts into legroom just to the side too much. I say Toyota just suck it up, quit trying to be novel and different, go for the throat and make a good standard type center console from dash to armrest.

I *think* all the higher selling sedans (as shown in pics) use this type of design because it works quite well.

Many of them have a door at bottom of center stack that flips open to reveal USB / 12V port and can hide a couple things in there. like this on Accord. Silver handle opens a small area to hide stuff above cell phone tray. With floating bridge, driver is hamstrung having to plug in USB in center armrest. No goodnick.

I have become accustomed to the 2010 dash design and like it. Inasmuch as there is no need for a tach, there really is no need for dials in front of the steering wheel. As far as the 'bridge' I like that as well. I keep various items under the 'bridge' and I like that when I am looking for a pen, or a letter to mail, I can see it if I look. I also like the little 'shifter' that is perfectly placed. My hand naturally falls on it whenever I 'shift' to 'B' when going downhill.

One last thought. I assume the centered dash is used on both the left and right hand drive Prius??

Welp, let's hope the 4th generation Prius comes with MUCH better handling and cornering capability. The current Prius just body rolls and has a weird feeling going into turns. The Camry SE had much better, flatter cornering feel as did Camry Hybrid. But Camry SE came in a distant 3rd to Accord Sport and new Mazda6 by Motor Trend.

I'd like like to find out how well cars like BMW 3 and Tesla S handle

With Akio at the helm, you can almost guarantee that it'll handle better. The question is, "how much better?" Will it be incremental? I don't expect it to handle like a sports car of any sort.

Me neither. Tough to describe how the Camry SE felt going into turns except it is more 'planted' and stays flatter. Prius has a funny feeling just turning the simple sharp corner going into our home tract. Body just wants to rrrolll.

Wider tyres and a slightly stiffer suspension would do it (and possibly a stiffer body too). The Prius does have narrow tyres for its size. (Just for fun, a 2000 Camry CE had 195/70R14 and the LE had 205/65R15. The XLE had 205/60R16 on 16" alloys)

All Camrys have multi-link independent rear suspension. That improves cornering / handling ability a bunch, right?

To the Civic's credit, it has multi-link rear suspension. I know just about all mid to higher end cars have multi ind. rear suspension while the cheaper cars use torsion beam, something Prius might need to get away from this next gen.

If its all under the hood, then why drape it and bring attention to it? Also, you'll notice the refill door is on the right side in the pic above.

What would a prototype hybrid be doing in California? I bet it's hydrogen car, because California is one of the very few places to have hydrogen gas stations.

Pilot program maybe, but I wouldn't expect production. We have an hydrogen FC, FCX Clarity, 2 were sold/leased in April 2013, 2013 year-to-date=2
