We just bought a 2010 Prius. Can anyone recommend a rear facing car seat that can go in with the seats all the way back? My husband and I are very tall...5'9" & 6'4" so moving the seats forward is not an option.

My daughter is one year so we have at least one more year of rear facing but I would like to extended rear face if we can find a seat that works for us. Budget is no issue for the right seat. If I have to turn it in a year regardless I'd probably prefer to pay less.

Any suggestions? Pics would also be great if anyone has them.

    Thanks!

Check out on Amazon.com the Evenflo Symphony 65 car seat. We have it in there and the passenger seat goes all the way back no problem. Now then it is touching slightly when the seat is all the way back. These are heavy duty car seats I figure we lose 1 MPG just with two of these and a heavy duty stroller in the back...figure 2 MPG loss with grand kids added, 3 MPG loss if you add Nana, 5 MPG if you add me too.

Thanks for the feedback. I know 2010 and after are considered generation III. Does that mean the 2011-2013s have the same dimensions in the back? In other words, car seats would fit identically in each?

JimboPalmer, referring to your 29 year old as your "little one" gave me a good chuckle. How cute.

Can't go wrong with recaros. My seat was almost all the way back. But the forester had smaller back seat area.

    To expensive though.

Keep your children always in the back, keep them rear facing as long as possible. Your Prius will only be 17 when s/he needs it to learn to drive.

Here's the thing, don't try too hard or it might not happen. ;)

When you're relaxed things tend to happen, if you catch my meaning. :D
I've got fraternal twins so I must've done something right lol.

Actually being relaxed and something happening is what I'm afraid of. :-P
