Couldn't resist the financing

    So I took the plunge on a 2013 PiP this past Saturday. We had a gen II back in 2006-2010 until it got rear ended, replaced it with an outback for the awd. I recently started driving to Cambridge for work, so at about 65 miles round trip, driving my truck was ridiculous. So the chance to get into another Prius at 0% was too good to pass up. Drove 8 miles yesterday to get take-out and return, all electric. I loved our old Prius, I love this one even more! Thanks for the FAQ and all the other useful knowledge you've posted here!

    Congratulations! I LOVE the feeling of running an errand on all EV. Most of my drives are like this.

    I know what you mean about the financing. We were ready to write a check and the guy convinced us of the 3 year 0% instead. We're happy we went that way even though I hate debt.

    Love how it gives EV experience for short frequent trips and a full 50 MPG hybrid experience for longer trips.

    I think this is the perfect car for my commute (until they make one with even better EV range...) Took my first ride into Cambridge this morning. My instincts at first were to drive as far as i could in EV, then let it switch into hybrid mode, but thanks to the info I've gleaned here I decided to run in HV for the first 20 ish miles, down Rt 1 to 128, then down to the 128/I93 interchange. As usual, my drive there went from typical highway cruising to congested nonsense. I switched into EV mode as soon as i hit the ramp to get on I93 and I was able to keep it there all the way to my office in Cambridge (Google maps says 13.4 miles). Awesome car!!! sadly I can't charge at work (unless I want to pay the ridiculous chargepoint fees in a garage we have access to), but still an amazing savings compared to my old ride. Now I need to learn how to use the systems to track my data...

    I never get tired of running errands in all EV mode.
    My average weekend consists of multiple 2-6 mile trips- usually adding up to about 35 miles by Sunday night. I can almost always go the full weekend without starting the ICE. In my 2012 Prius Five- the weekends used to kill my gas mileage because short trips are very inefficient in the regular Prius because of it's ICE warm-up cycle. I couldn't be any happier that I traded it in for the PIP. Last month I drove about 1500 miles and ended up with 95mpg at the end of the month. This month looks about the same- with three days left I'm at 96mpg so far with almost 1300 miles driven.

    I also purchased a 2013 Toyota Prius Plug-In this weekend in Blizzard White. Zero percent financing for 60 months. I feel I got a great deal.

    Just a bit of insite, and will not apply to everyone, but the people who bring cars into areas not released yet. When you do this you do not get any of the Toyota specials! No financing, no deals, you pay. Based on my experienced now, go buy a car from a released state and do all of the work necessary as that dealer can make you a deal.
